I don't know much about Pirating but with the roams I go on where we rarely attack nuet's we tend to find some good kills. We cleaned a gate camp in Avair today in which we killed a 3bil tengu and a Sin which was 1.5bil. So pirates with money are around you just gotta keep an eye out for it.

Play EvE how you want to play it and do not let others dictate how you play. Evolve your playstyle to protect yourself from others! Even in "PVE", "PVP" is there, lurking in the shadows. |

I have no idea what to call myself anymore. I fall into that -10.0 that shoots any non-blue I feel I can beat, so whatever that is. Low sec is great for it thanks to FW, they are a little blobby and they do need to be taken seriously when one of their better FCs is present but the run of the mill soldiery will have a decent fit but will still die in a fire easily enough on his own. It's not much money but at least it provides free mods for fitting new ships. It's very unlikely that I will ever rep my sec status both because I don't really want to and that I'm playing for pvp, live in low and have no qualms about firing first. All that being said I will accept and honor ransoms if the price is right so who knows what category that is supposed to be.
If you are someone who's just looking for pvp without the diplomacy or fleets of null sec there is still plenty to do in FW regions of low sec (outside of FW regions is dead a lot of the time). Additionally small gangs frequently can be found roaming through low sec space on Friday and Saturday nights for those who like the idea but are not quite brave enough to set out alone on an average Tuesday. As for simply camping a gate and farming the ships that come through for loot or the piracy I encountered when I first started playing in 2007, not so much.
EDIT: Can't believe I forgot to mention that the final reason I will not rep my sec status is that I would rather perform my own bowel surgery with a chainsaw and no anesthetic than play high sec docking games and smack talking local that is so much of the time spent in high sec "pvp". |
