[1] Edited by: Crepiscule on 08/08/2003 06:04:56 In the not so distant past, a group of Red Corsairs led by Faisal Khan, were on a routine patrol of Amarrian space. Things had been fairly quiet. It seemed that they had chased or killed off most of the Amarrian miners. It was then that something appeared on the radar. It had the look of an Amarrian luxury yacht, standard crew size of about 30 men. The yacht was quickly locked down and had nowhere to run. Two of the Red Corsair chiefs, Crepisule and Gresil, formed a boarding party and entered the ship. There was minimal resistance by the crew. In fact the ship was strangely quiet. ôLooks like the rats are hiding in their holesö, Gresil said with a smile to Crepiscule. ôLets go see if we can burn a few nests thenö, Crepiscule replied with a thin toothy smile. The two Minmatar men worked their way down through the ship to the main sleeping quarters. Gresil and Crep exchanged a silent look then burst into the room with guns drawn. Nothing could have prepared them for what they found. The room was draped in the most expensive silk swatches money could by. Giant satin cushions littered the floor each a more bazaar color than the last. On the cushions lay 3 Amarrian women and one male Minmatar slave. They were strangely relaxed for women whose ship had just been boarded by Minmatar marauders. ôMust be some new Amarr drugö, Crep thought to himself. The slave rose from his cushion and approached the two Corsairs. ôGreetings brothers!ö He said excitedly. ôSo good to see free men again.ö His voice dropped to almost a whisper. ôI do hope you donÆt plan on killing everyone.ö ôWeÆre here looking for donations for our causeö, Crepiscule said dryly. ôAnd weÆre going to rescue you from your bondage to these women. What is your name?ö ôI am called Hampstahö, he said with a bit of a blush. ItÆs kind of a pet name the women gave me.ö The Corsairs laughed out loud together and Gresil put his arm around Hampstah and brought him in close. ôYou donÆt much look like you want to be rescuedö, Gresil mocked. ôTruth be told this is a much nicer position than the mines where they bought me. It is much more fun pleasing the ladies than it is the taskmasterö, Hampstah chuckled. Gresil stopped laughing and became more serious. ôSlavery of any kind, no matter how enjoyable it may seem, is wrong. We may look like pirates and most think of us that way, but in truth we fight for our enslaved brothers that our government will not help free.ö ôIÆve got a good feeling about you Hampstah. Why donÆt you stay with us awhile and let us show you true freedom.ö Hampstah didnÆt know quite what to say. He was a bit shocked at the offer but like all true Minmatar, deep from within a fire for justice burned. ôI will join you then!ö , Hampstah said with resolve. ôShow me what it means to be free, and I shall forever be in your debt.ö The Amarrian womens glassy stares didnÆt change at all as they began to walk back to their ships. Crepiscule radioed ahead to Faisal. ôLooks like we have found another lost brother.ö On the other end of the radio, Faisal KhanÆs face brightened for he knew the Red Corsairs were to only become stronger as more and more of his enslaved brothers and sisters were freed. |

[3] Good story. Clears up my assumption that Hampstah was actually discovered endlessly running round a giant Niven Ring somewhere. x a n e |

[5] http://goonfleet.com/open_letter_to_CCP.html Dear CCP, Once again, it seems that several of your employees have been up to no good. We'll get into the details a little later, but the highlights are quite juicy: CCP employees abusing their roles to join player corporations and give themselves director access, RP-events being rigged and what I really thought we were over, further fraternization between your employees and members of BoB and the subsequent cover-up. These latter two events actually stem from the same source, a former ISD member. Let us begin with CCP Sharkbait joining the corporation "DarkStar 1" and giving himself director access. This was not preceded by a customer service request that would in any shape, way or form require a CCP employee to join the corporation. Less then one minute after joining the corporation, he added the role "Director" to himself, roughly fourteen minutes later, he leaves the corporation and surrenders the role. * http://images.goonfleet.com/images/ccp/2007.05.25.15.19.48.jpg * http://images.goonfleet.com/images/ccp/CCP%20charkbait%202.png Upon learning of this, corporate officers from DarkStar 1 immediately filed a petition in an effort to discover the reasons for this. This petition was promptly deleted and CCP Sharkbait would not respond to in-game conversations. Why would a CCP Employee ever join a corporation without being asked to do so or any prior communication indicating that this would take place? Why was the petition filed by officials from DarkStar 1 deleted with no response or reason? |
