So after checking out the contest page i ran across this link to a nice new version of the Hyperion. Since CCP changed look of scorpion into a badass ship design this one deserves to be better too. I mean the HYP looks like it can fly forewards or backwards. the ring thing with 4 engines in middle looks weird.

But that ^^^^ link of a Hyp mk II makes it look so much more awesome sauce.
I doudt ccp would change its look to that. but hey cant blaim a guy for trying to inspire them can ya ? no.  |

if they did take that design into consideration. take off the tacky orange and black and put a nice navy color like per say a Navy Hyperion. or standard green on reg hyp would make it nice to. |

Looks good.
Will also look great trying to get into range with blasters while slowboating with 3 tacklers all over it and the drones can do little more than henpeck them and the sniper ships and missile boats peel it like an onion.

i like the model shape but the yellow colours are horrible

The only problem with those is that they doesn't look minmatar enough. I guess the phoon does kinda look like a short fat cane.
But the tempest looks far too smooth on the outside if you know what I mean. |

Very nice Hyperion. It has the Sword of the Stars look to it, specifically the Human node drive ring.
Tinfoil. It should be at the top of everyone's food pyramid.

That's the color gallente used to be pre-trinity, You can still see it on the shuttle. I think that it adds character to the lineup. |

Eh, a bit too blocky to be Gallente. Smooth it out, paint it green, good to go.
Also, paging through these ships reminds me of why there was such an uproar about the contest. These ships are cool, but a lot of them simply would not fit in the EVE universe, and several display a distinct lack of knowledge about the game. And then there's a few that just plain sucked. Just saw one that was essentially a crate with solar panels. The best submissions came from people who either already played or did some research on the various styles of the game. |
