Algazara, get your facts streight or try telling the whole story.
The GMs probly told you that they were there to observe several players including your member that have been using the -10.0/-9.9 no sec hit bug/exploit.
They were doing their job of gathering information to see if a banning is justified. You were interfering with an on going investigation,and were tring to get you to back off/go away with as little fuss as possable.
 Moove along people there nothing to see here.

Hey athren field this question for me why would the gms be observing that exploit in obe instead of in 1.0 system where the said (and i use quotes heavily cause i am convinced this is 99% a carebare whine about ships tanking police while killing them) "exploit". If you can tell me that i would glady acknowledge your superior problem solving skills. But until then you "probably" shouldnt say what "probably" happened to other players.

what alg posted i come to a conclusion that EVE is a UNBALANCED game.
they should work with blizzard, sure units should over power a lesser vessel, but not to dramatic.
thoe gm's had joves battleship, they attaked alg, and i bet it was like shooting a frigate.
dam DEVS need to stop smoking whatever makes them unbalance the game.
eve does have stunnign visuals but the game is truly unbalanced. ah well, nothing is perfect, cant wait till wc3, blizzard knows it ****.

Wrong! - HE attacked THEM! They didn't attack him - instead they healed themselves. Alg didn't get the hint (they healed 5 times apparantly, and STILL he kept firing). Then they hurt him, but they didn't KILL him.
What's there to be angry about Alg? You can't expect to shoot at someone and them not retaliating.
*sigh* Everyone cries for more storyline, more contents, and when it gets there, they flood the boards bithiing about GM's interfering with gameplay. It's NOT GM's - it's the Event team...

the answer to your question is that until recently the dev team did not know that -10.0/-9.9 were being allowed into .4 space unchallanged. According the to sec rating system no player with more than a -2.0 to the system is allowed to stay in a system.
it is set up like this:
1.0 -2.0 are run out by concord
0.9 -3.0
0.8 -4.0
0.7 -5.0
0.6 -6.0
0.5 -7.0
0.4 -8.0
0.3 -9.0
0.1 -10.0
People with -10/-9.9 can come in but a flag is supposed to be raised and am message displayed that they are not allowed to stay.
They had this working on the dev server (caos) but some how it was not applied correctly to the main server.
This is a documented bug, anyone using the bug constantly is considered to be exploiting the bug a banable offence.
Oh, and if you did not notice he (The poster) never verified or not that what the GMS actully told him was that they were checking on -10/-9.9 people in 0.4 space.
They are taking names and bannings will follow shortly.

are you stupid ? if there is bug they need to fix it..they cant just ban ppl for using whats in the game..noone is cheating or usin "exploids or wtf u call it" if they are going to ban ppl for being pirates in 0.4 system they have to ban alot of players and loose alot of customers ..yeah hardly happens and also prolly 90% of us did not know that this was an bug or exploit i sure did not know it ..and u know what ? if i can stay in 03-04 space i will do so..its part of game ATM.

Exploiters beware!
Dear players, There have been reports of some players using the so called "grid exploit" to their advantage in combat situations recently. CCP wants to make it known that those players found to do this run the risk of being banned from playing EVE.

Yes they do ban players for exploiting bugs. First they investigate to see if the player is exploiting, then if they find that the player is indeed exploting they ban.
You were told that they were investigating were you not. Ignorance is not an excuse. If you find a bug you report it. If you find and use a bug and are caught they warn you. If you use a know bug (exploit)continusly warned or not they ban you.
And no banning the exploiters well loose 5-10 players but keep 500-1000 accounts from being canceled. Do you really think they would not ban someone because they are afraid of loosing that player... Hello.. If the ban you they lost you because they kicked you out. DUH...

Things can get only better in EVE, less exploits, floating cargo cans a history and now more powerfull ships.. plus the world knows your agenda and you are now predictable..

When all is said and done, its still an interuption of the simulation. 'Divine intervention' if you will. They cheated, and this should not be acceptable by CCP.
I too am biased against pirates, especially when a thorax is doing circles around my punisher, firing w/out any demands. I am a mere tuna in the infinant sea of sharks...

How are you so sure that they used the heal command and not a tech 5 large shield booster? I mean they are using Jove battleships get with it, it should take more than a Dominix to fight them. In any event, this is roleplaying! GM isn't being a bully and picking on you hes guarding a gate because there was a secret meeting going on in FDZ4-A that day.

Quit your whining silly pirates. Every time you kill/pod another player you take away his right of free gaming just as much as your poor pride was hurt in this case. Only in your case they gave you more then enough time and warning to leave them alone. Something you all rarely give us.
As far as them cheating by using /heal? Well they are of a superior race, using superior tech, and obviously weren't could have handed you your ass on a plate without using the /heal command... they just made it interesting. So shut up for crying out load. Bite down and bear it or do us all a favor and leave Eve. Oh and don't say you pirates have never cheated. (I remember before the can jettison was put on a timer, you guys used to jettison out so many cans that we'd lag so much at a gate we'd be dead before things started moving normal again)
Now play nice, and keep doing what you do.. pirating.. and I'll keep doing what I do.. avoiding you. This makes for a little more exciting gaming experience. I thank you for that. Just don't be a little ****head and cry when you get a taste of it.

actually algecrapza you did try to get me as i went to the P3 gate in Obe. Unfortunately my moa was equipped to mine not fight....If i had been i would have returned fire and more than likely watched as you jump away to lick your wounds...I couldnt care less how "good" you are in combat. Cause you blocked me and wouldnt reply in local either. Coward and gimp.
Note : I obviously ran away at that point as i couldnt exactly fire my xecls at you :P
