I was in OBE and the 2 Gm's Venial and Ouria come in there..and im lookin at local and c those two..so i deside to look for em..then i find them sittin at p3 gate ..claiming they are keeping the gate safe..well thats not what i call free gaming or experiance thats what i call abuse of power..then he insulted me saying i bored him cause i warped away when i saw those Jovian characters and vessels so i deside to show him that im not a chicken..so i go back and attack him and he just keeps healing up and then after like 5 times of healing up when hes almost down to nothing he shoots some **** at me making my bs loose 50% of all healthpoints..well i call this abuse of power. Have a BAD day gm's

Even if I think most pirates are scum and should have a fast and painless death I must agree, no feeling if this happens lots of times.
Give the pirates some fun too.. but maybe put in some harder Concord ships against them so they have to work for the living (read: jumpgate camping)

Venial and Ouria have been seen involved in events several times. I don't suppose it occurred to you to check what was beyond that gate...?
Of course, if they just felt like harassing some player due to personal dislike, that's a no-go.
But several cries of this nature have gone out before, and all have turned out to be slightly-less-than-accurate accounts of what happened on the player side... so pardon me if i do not share your outrage unless or until i have some proof.

lol, it's an abuse of power that a jove battleship is a quantum leap more advanced than your ship?
exactly what did you think a tech5 cannon would do to your wimpy lvl 1 battleship? and do you really think that you should be able to kill that jove battleship without having them respond?
now an abuse of power would be if the jove decided to kill you for no reason at all (kinda like what you were trying to do to him).

guys still.. two GMs camping gate and not TELLING what is on the other side if it is some GM stuff or whatever sux also...
not out job to ask GM what they are doing.. when a GM turn up like that he should inform YOU..
they could just say, we are here to protect the gate from you or similar... they are GM, not players.. don't really care if this happend to a pirate scum, amarr scum or part of the caldari pride.. still wrong.. |

They didn't use Tech5 cannons, they used the GM /heal command, both to heal themselves and to damage them (I wasn't there at all).
Seems pretty lame. Call it roleplaying if you wish. |

They did the same thing to setec last night, when he tried to pirate them.
/heal 0.5 <playername>
I'm not sure I like this one bit. Maybe if they explained their actions, and what would happen to you if you decide to take aggressive action.

IF they are setting the stage for a cool event, then two joves causing a ruckus in the vale/venal/lonetrek/forge reason could be the setup. If so, applause for the GMs involved, for getting everyone talking about it without actually depriving anyone of valuables. Notice the boards are buzzing with it lately.
If however, they're just picking on people because they have low sec ratings, or personally dislike their playstyle... well that's a way to lose customers.

I think this is a crappy way of building up events or whatever. If GMs want to interact with players IC, they shouldn't fly around with Tech 5 stuff that might end up in player hands before even Tech 2 is introduced. And they shouldn't do their very best to get players to attack them/attack players and use cheats while doing so.
Very, very bad.

what ****ed me off..was when he said.."you bore me" because he knew he could kill me ..that was just an insult and he wanted to get attacked..well anyways i dont like how they just come to our system and use there lvl "5 techstuff" or whatever to interfear with the gaming comunity ..cuz like we know we havent even got a friggen lvl 2 **** so why the hell are they here with there lvl5 **** flying around thats just what i wonder..just stupid.

AAAAAHAHAHAHA, couldnt have happened to a more deserving person. Now you know how I felt last week when I undocked in obe in my bestower only to be blown away by your battleship without even a "pay a toll". So now maybe when your camping stations you will be a little less triger happy because you know how it feels to be ganked, heck i would have gladly paid but you auto targeted and fired without provocation or warning. Amazing, complaining about exactly what you pirates do, attack inferior ships with your battleships. I love the fact that you got a taste of your own medicine. Party at my house tonight because of this.

Amen to that.
All it was was a little trash talk and muscle flexing. The only sad part to the story was that they didn't blow the little rat's ass up. If they had, they'd have only done the same things any pirate in the game does. Use bigger and better ships to blow up lesser ones.
I seem to remember being told as a child that the bigger man walks away.

Oh how this must be related..i dont think a eve piracy is any related to some command related Gm's Abuse..but whatever..this matter did not concern if i attack a frigate or indy or a battleship. I was bringin out the word how free game experiance can easily change into not so free gaming experiance.

Not so free gaming experience? What do you call it when you impose your will onto someone in a weaker ship than you, who only wants to go about their business and not be disturbed? Every time you hold someone up or destroy their ship without them asking you to, you are turning their "free gaming experience" into "not so free gaming experienceö. Yes, you attacked them first, if you hadnÆt they would not have done anything to you. And you attacked them for what? So they wouldnÆt think you were chicken, you say. Because they said they were bored with you, you say. Were you born this dense or do you just work hard at it. Do you really think that 2 GMÆs came into obe just to abuse you? How exactly did they abuse you, did they teleport you halfway across known space lanes into the middle of nowhere, did they insta gib you, did they take control of your ship and make it do the Texas two step? Nope, just because you were ignorant enough to think you could take them on in a fight and got your butt handed to you on a silver platter doesnÆt mean they are abusing their power. You attacked a tech level 5 ship for cripes sake. Of course they are going to be able to give and take much more punishment than you. Heck, even my 9 year old son knows better than to attack a scorpion with a bantam, same thing as attacking a tech 5 with a tech 1 no matter how you cut it. DonÆt come to the forumÆs crying a sob story because you were stupid, you are not going to find any sympathy from a majority of players, heck most of us are kind of ticked at the GMÆs for not PKÆing your sorry pirate rear.

Oh no hang on they didnt tell you what the event was and exactly what to do, so obviously it wasnt, do you want me to hold your hand as you cross the road as well?
Maybe it'd have been an idea to "talk" to them instead of tryin to blow em up and then try and gate to P3 to see what theyre guarding if you could.
Oh no sorry they were just out to abuse their power... Yah right

I dont agree in what they are doing, but they must have reasons for doing it.
And as for Algazara. ha ha ha ha ha ha. dont like u palidins anyways, u make m3g4 look good, at least they ask for a toll and usually keep their word you are just murderers, not pirates. so like i said, hahahahah. hope they blow up your ass and pop your egg :).

Pirates really are a hot-button issue for some people huh? Even to the extent that it obscures what the post was actually about.
The point is that Jove characters with super-hard ships is fine (but probably regular modules in case they drop them). However using /heal is bogus, and certainly not RPing.
Note also that they typed it into the local chat where it was echoed for all to see (d'oh!) so it definitately wasn't some uber-module.
If GMs are going to be in-game as Jovians then they should RP as Jovians. If GMs/devs do want to be OOC in-game I'd suggest they use regular ships and don't spoil the perception of the mysterious Jovians before the storyline really kicks off.
Bad GMs  They're your rules, now play by them.
