Am I the only person in rthis game who has no desire to blow stuff up other than the odd RP driven fight? I LIKE mining, I LIKE crafting items and I feel pride when someone drives of in that shiney new cruiser than I made.
It just seems that the majority of players are more concerned with killing stuff and consider any other profession a means to that end and nothing more, all I seem to see on the recruitmnt channel is "dont waste your time mining, waste some people instead!" or "we dont mine, we kill people". Its like being at school again, where the intellectuals are picked on by the big, brainless neanderthals who just like sports and violent movies(hey im not saying violence aint fun but still:P). Just wondering if there actually are any others out there who view combat as an occasional distraction rather than a sole focus.

Uhm. Do what YOU WANT. Nobody's telling you to play the game a certain way, and you shouldn't feel obligated to do what everyone else might be doing (as you perceive it). My end goal is not to be strolling through the sectors in a huge ass ship, although if that happens then that's just gravy to me. :)

Interesting that you did not read my post at all, I never said I felt obligated to play a certain way, I simply(in a roundabout manner) asked if I am one of a select group or if there were more people out there like me I just dont see.

Yes, why do people find that so hard to belive? I fight NPCs sometimes if I feel a bit bored but I ENJOY doing what I do, I dont feel the nee to PvP unless there is a reason to, not just for the sake of it.

well since my latest experince are whenever an npc pirate over 20k bounty fires on me I get white screen of death frozen 4 minutes followed by reboot of computor. yeah I guess I am fast becoming a miner/hauler/ small time explorer only.
wish it weren't so but is comin to this. maybe we can mine a few rocks together sometime. your name sounds familar. like maybe we have met in the last few years

Very few corporations can actually make that claim. Most of them are just talking tough. In fact, most of the good pirate corporations that actually claim a lot of victims are not actively recruiting in the first place. The few corps that are actually good at pirating are so drowned in applications already that they wouldn't even think about spamming a recruitment channel.
It's safe to say that every corporation that tries to recruit by advertising its combat prowess is actually no good at combat at all.

if peepole want to recruit that they like to do tha killing den i dont see why you care. They have as much right to the killing as you have to the mining.
When you have da free uncontrolled Player vers player of eve. You allways do got da bully types, cause dar is nothing to stop them from doing so. Most probably got picked on from bullies, and so now they feel they can be da bullies, but i dont know for certain. And me think some people will counter ****ed me on dat one. So dont take it too personally youz bullies out dar, it was just a theory.
Me also sorry that you feel that when someone buys a warship and guns off you, you feel it is only to go and fight. Only thing for me to say is, they are guns and warship, dat what they fore. Do you feel dat the people that buy you miner 1s you build are going to go hut with dem too?
I may not be da faster thinker on da block, cause me play sports and make me dum, but EVE is what you make of it. You should just distance yourself from dem dat think so diferant from you, and play with the smartar people you dont play da sports or like the violance.
