I'm finally able to blow through lvl 4 missions.
How do you optimize your ISK per hour? Looting / salvaging takes a while. Is it about just blowing stuff up or do you take the time to salvage / mine?

quite popular is having a salvage alt that follows you and loots/salvages after you. if you have no alt then docking and switching to salvage yourself is debatable, long time ago when I was very low skilled I salvaged in a destroyer after my missions (long before noctis) then it became better for me to simply take next mission and burn through that, if your in a fast effective mission runner (pirate/faction BS, T3) the money gained from the next mission is superior to the time spent salvaging. if your new to LVL 4's then salvage all of them to get an idea of what missions are worth salvaging, seems like a PITA at first but it really is the best way. You will find out some are not worth the time to salvage and others are worth more in salvage than bounties and rewards combined.
Off the top of my head Angel Extrav; good salvage / Mordus Headhunters; lots of quantity not much quality / Serpentis spies; crap / Massive Attack; crap / Worlds Collide; sometimes good, more often crap / Buzz kill; Mixed bag / Damsel in distress; good loot / Gone Beserk; Tons of cap chargers and occasional meta 4 item....
The list goes on and on but the only way to know what is worth salvaging and what should be skipped for another mission takes looting and salvaging all of them a few times.

Don't know about mining but there are two ways to make good ISK missioning in high sec.
1. Find an exceptional ISK/lp ratio item and mission for that corp, the item im farming yields close to 3k/lp for me. 2. Find a 0.5 system, blitz (don't loot or salvage just kill what's needed) missions with maximum social skills to get best LP/hour and buy regular lp conversion items (usually around 1k/lp)

Sorry I submitted before answering the question, I think I maxed out at 60 mil an hour 'Average' mission pay, loot/salvage, and bounties. LP is a totally different item as some people find 3000isk/lp items and others settle for as little as 500isk/lp.

Like everything else, it depends on many variables. For me personally i get more ISK/h when i don't salvage.
Measure how much you do with Missions, then with Salvaging and compare the values.
If you want to make ISK with missions and don't care about standing for jumpclone and processing (You are a miner? Good, then you don't care) here are some tips:
- Find an item in the Loyalty shop that is worth more then 2000 ISK/lp
- Make you the item is "sellable". Of what use is a high value item if you can't sell it?
- Find a system in a 0.5 or 0.6 System so you get more LP and ISK.
- Get your Social skills at least to IV.
- Blitzt the **** out of the missions, like Recon I, II, III and Cargo dilivery you can do in a MWD friggate. Much, MUCH faster then with a slow DPS battleship.
- Measure the ISK/h for every mission.
- decline every of the lowest ISK/h mission. Just cherry pick the good once. You will lose some standing, but allmost no faction standing. Make sure you faction stading is allways above 5 and you corp/Agent standing is above -2.
- Do the .. thingy missions. The special once you get every XX mission. They will push your Faction stading up again.
If you do all that + good ship (for example faction machrial) + good skills, you get 100 to 200mio ISK/h with Mission in highsec. One single Machrial can get 60k LP in one hour in a 0.5 system. If you got a 2000 ISK/lp item that is 120mio ISK/h from the lp shop alone. German blog about smallscale lowsec pvp: http://friendsofharassment.wordpress.com |

If you don't care about your faction standing (for gal/Min), you could farm Enemies Abound - yields arround 100 mil/hr on average, without the hassle of LP-Store (which is.. slow!). |

If you have your mission times down to say sub 45 min per site then consider running 2 then docking up and salvaging. The best way is to run and alt in a noctis but this isn't always and option for everyone. Some of the BS heavy mission that Goldiie mentioned above can yield some impressive salvage numbers so it is worth doing.
Also there are plenty of corps out there that will salvage for you and give you a cut. Its been along time since I've ran L4 so I am not sure who is doing that nowadays but I am sure you could find out in your local mission hub. |

Made this for Amarr Ships and mostly Sansha Mission a while ago.
I never get less than 3k ISK/LP normally 3.5 - 5k.
Look at loot times and average loot values to decide if you should loot or not.
Values calculated with nearly all needed skills 5 and done in a Marauder exspect less income with average or below average skills.
Blitzing not always the best way to do missions but the fastest way to get next faction mission.

I focused only on BS wrecks while using a Vargur. Hardly took any extra time each mission if I looted/salvaged while I popped rats. Made some decent coin on it since I also ran for a faction with good LP rewards. If you want all the wrecks, than a Noctis alt would be preferable. |

If you can kill quickly (finish a mission < 15min) then it's usually just better to ignore the loot. If it takes you 30+ minutes to do a mission then you might consider looting / salvaging.
That said, missions with lots of battleships can be worth looting / salvaging in any case, especially when they're all clumped close together. |

Cherry pick then loot and salvage the missions. For Minmatar I choose
The Assault WC AE Gone Berserk The Blockade Dread Pirate Scarlet Vengeance
All of those easily provide more than 50 mil an hour in bounty and salvage/loot NOT including LP.
Remember that when you hear people claiming to sell High LP items that you can check the frequency of their sale in the "Price history" market tab ~~> Show Tables. So when You have a ton of LP you can tell clearly if you will be able to maximize your profit at the rate you earn LP. You will find that most people claiming a high ratio are in fierce competition and are not making maximum profit all the time. I would rather make 60-70 mil an hour all day long than 120 here but 20 there.
It helps to have an alt that can accept missions weather or not you choose to LP blitz or salvage loot. we're gonna make them eat our ship, then ship out our ship, and then eat their ship that's made up of our ship that we made 'em eat. |

The assault, that's real nice for salvage lot's of BS, got nice xtra income from that.
A lazy kinda quick way to do it is get the new Gallente destroyer put tractors in high, 1 hi slot for drone augmentation mod, 1 1mn MWD, 2 cap chargers, cargo rigs, and cargo expanders in low.
Once you fly in release salvage drones, click on one drone to approach it then send your drones to salvage as your drones work you can just loot wrecks or tractor in cargo drops from wrecks. |

I am the "one character - one account" guy. My strategy is to do the mission as fast as possible, clearing any BS along the way, if killing everything is not needed. Do not forget about LP conversion - LP is your friend. I fit afterburner or tractor for missions that need a loot to complete and save a bookmark of wrecks in every pocket. Once in 90-100 minutes or so I dock and take my Noctis to clear all bookmarks of wrecks. I usually salvage and loot every BS wreck and only medium wrecks containing loot. There are few exceptions of Phat loot missions where I loot and salvage everything.
This is my former strategy, currently training for a Golem and the intention is to get rid of Noctis, thus increasing mission count and LP gain, while still being able to salvage and loot along the way. Again, I will only care about BS and medium wrecks with loot.
I replaced my ISK grinding with low-sec exploration lately. With a Golem I expect to jump to my mission clone from time to time though.
And to your topic - my income is somewhere between 30-50M per hour (without LP conversion), depending on missions. I do not cherry pick missions through more agents in a close cluster.
Ticks are 8-15M depending on missions I get.
Good loot/salvage:

Some people are interchanging Salvage and Loot here.
The way I run it is I run through the mission (I pretty much kill everything - I timed it out and factored in extra bounty and extra loot/salvage, and it wasn't a big enough hit to ISK/hr against flat out blitzing, and was a bit more relaxed)
Some missions though, I still blitz through them, like Drone missions or Recon 1/2/3
I have a character flying a Noctis who follows me around. Using salvage Drones, they warp in, drop drones (who have 100km+ range with a few Drone Control Range modules that replaced the Salvagers I used to carry) and they go off and merrily salvage everything automatically.
Then I have 5 tractor beams on it and with decent skills, these reach out to 68km or more, which should cover all the wrecks. Tractor in the ones with loot in, let the drones get the salvage.
Little effort and usually on average will double the ISK from reward + bounty.
Sure, it's not absolute maximum efficiency (which is by blitzing mission after mission as fast as possible for LP) but it's not that far off and it's easy to do. |

Been running for a while, this is what I've found.
1) Dual Box ........ Two Battle Characters, each flying ships with large cargo and afterburners. 2) Loot while killing...... Fly to wrecks while killing the NPC's, and loot, but don't salvage. 3) Fly Caldari if possible...... I also fly Cerberus's so each has a large 650m cargo and can hit up to 80km away. It also has an extra high slot for a tractor.
Notes: You have to empty the wrecks of all loot otherwise you end up flying to the same wrecks.
Mission times average me around 15 minutes using both toons, otherwise 45 to 60 with just one......
If you don't loot, it may save a few minutes, but hardly enough to justify leaving that average of 8 to 20m ISK just laying out there. |

I salvage/loot on the go with marauder with salvage drones.
Easy 10-15m of salvage/loot per "good" mission without longer completion times or need to switch ships. I decline or blitz "bad" missions and even in "good" missions I dont kill everything (sub bs) if I dont have to. |

Once you have a decent ship, and decent ISK backbone to work with, its all about ISK/LP and LP/hr. Choose fast blitz-able missions. For example "Duo or death" might have terrible payout and and mediocre LP reward, but you will spend more time warping to the mission and back home than actually doing it. Consider that. You don't have to be able to blitz AE4 if you know your ship and how much it takes you to get some particular mission done. And "bad" missions might not be that bad at all. |

Last time I checked I was able to pull off 50mil/h reliably in a Tengu agianst enimies who for over half the time I wasn't against enimies who had a Kin hole in their defenses. This was straight blitzing. Had I used a better ship I probably jump it up even more. If I want more isk/h and I actually did this alot I get a better ship and an alt to warp in and drop salvager drones and mabey loot while I mission, or train the alt for a domi/tengu and either drop sentry drones or FoF missiles to put extra dps in the room.
