A couple fitting mods (unless they upped the grid) slower, worse tracking, less damage ......basically a crappy pulse Oracle.
No t3 takes any sort of beating.

I think you guys are just too used to the old brutix. Post patch it's actually not bad as a starting pve ship, for a T1 battlecruiser.

This particular fit would work vs serpentis, but you can change the hardeners around for other rats, and even remove some hardeners for damage mods once you get your tank skills up. With the afterburner off, It's cap stable with good, but not great, capacitor skills. There's quite a bit of fitting room left over, so if you can use the T2 version of any of those modules, do so. The spare high slot can be used for whatever you decide to put there...I'd suggest a tractor beam for grabbing cans with mission items. The web is technically not necessary once you know what you're doing, since you can kill the smaller stuff with drones, or your guns as it approaches, but if you're a newer player it's a very nice fallback to have, especially if you lose your drones.

I haven't tinkered with the navy BCs yet.
I'm actually living in fear of the "new" navy drake doctrine being announced.
Although, a the Navy cane may be in the works if I can build on of my old armor canes out of it.
