About the way they were introduced:
If all the wild speculations of gm giving it to someone are true..NICE! But really...are you surprised? I think the gm's in EVE have at more then one time proven their extreem incompetance, their EXTREEM lack of vision and the even more EXTREEM ability to give CCP the mother of all bad names when it comes to unproffesionalism.
Who can say they were honestly surprised of yet another global and total ****-up by yet another global and total ignorant gm??
About the asking price:
LOL! Why complain? Does that little voice in your head keep going louder and louder 'buy miner 2, BUY MINER 2, BUY MIN...'?? Whats the problem? You need this laser so badly its giving you restless nights? Do you need to build this laser so badly its giving you restless nights? why would you even want to buy one??
The price continued.
My real question is...how the hell did they come up with the price of 5.5mil for 1.
The only answer i can find is the following..
Cu vapors are 3-4 mil per. So seeying as miner 2 is significantly better they just slapped 5.5 mil on it. This is rediculous! Here is why..
CUV is a very RARE loot dropped item. There are no blue prints to this hence they will remain very rare for all eternity (or untill rev engy works wich about evens out with eternity). Now the real question is...is a CUV worth 4 milion isk? Your answer would be...
In no possible living hell is a CUV worth 4 mil. The price came to be because of lack of provision and rarety, this does not mean the CUV us worth its money in terms of functionability. Take a Van Gogh painting...howmuch does it cost? Well hmm ALOT! Why? Is it sooo uber and usefull as to be worth its money? NO it has no functionality, the price is there because its UNIQUE. The same applies to CUV, its rare wich makes it expensive and frankly everyone who buys a CUV at 4 milion is just a novilty collector cause the 4mil payed far surpasses the CUV's functionality!
Having sayd all this makes the price for miner2 even more rediculous because a miner 2 is an item wich can be constructed in UNLIMITED amounts making it very unrare and very worthless just like a miner 1. The price aimed at was based on a) functionality (everything ok here, its a good laser) and b) current prices asked for CUV...this is where it went bad...
In no way can a miner 2 be compared to CUV. A miner 2 is a usefull item wich gives it a value of the most usefull miner in EVE next to the miner 1. Miner 1 costs 3k so given the greater functionality the miner 2 would be eligable for a price of 30k wich is ten times the price for a 50% increase in funtionality.
CUV is a novelty, bought and searched for by novelty collectors. Its functionality of 20% over stock miner1 does not set its price, the rarety and novelty sets its price. Can anyone who bought CUV honestly say..'i made a great investment!' NO you can't, you bough a nice item, a toy, just a little extra to your potential but more importantly...it makes you feel special...specialised, nothing but the best for me. Yes thats right...miner 2 does not fall under this because in a few weeks everyone will have them!
The bpc...
LOL...ok has there 1 been sold yet? If so i would find that amusing to the extreem. Where they came up with the price is besides me and frankly i think they took a big dartdisc with prices and then through a dart at it landing on 1.4bil (was there a 1isk price aswell? would be exciting).
My solution to this problem..
As for the way it made it into the game..i will wait for official word, if the rumors are true i will try to forget about it and hope the devs will fire a bunch of gm's and try and atleast 'look' proffesional next time.
As for the price asked for bpc and item. I will simply not buy them as the price does not match with their functionality and miner 2 wich has unlimited numbers is not a novelty item wich would justify its price. I will buy a miner 2 at productioncost + 30% profit wich is what most stuff goes out the door for whenever manufacturers get lucky! I will buy an original miner 2 blueprint for 1 mil when they hit the market. In no way will i pay more then production +30% for miner 2. In no way will i pay 1.4bil for a copy, wouldnt even for orig...
That is my solution and frankly i think its a good one. I would rather buy a CUV for 5.5 mil then a miner 2 for that price!
Someone once sayd to me...a fool is born every minute. I sayd to him..wrong a fool is born every second, a sceptic is infected by fools every minute!

It's the exact same things as what Zombie did, you may not attack in "safe-areas" (empire/within sentry range) without loosing your ship.
