Every kill board I look at tells a different story, wouldn't a kill board hosted by CCP be faster and 100% accurate? I'm curious more than anything as to why they leave it to 3rd party's (unless I'm mistaken?). |

It's a bad idea, but I'll let someone with a better grasp of the technical workings explain why. Maintaining the KB would take attention away from other things, though. |

It'd be really interesting to see it as a part of eve gate. Maybe some of us would actually use it then. |

Because not everyone want to post their kills/losses and every other solution that doesnt force you to post API key or leaks that character information without your consent will be the same as any other KB out there.
Introducing another free infallible intel tool is a bad idea. |

I don't see the problem is an accurate account of who killed what and when rather than corporations and alliances making kill boards that only favour them and prevent faked mails altogether. The page itself would be easy enough to maintain and wouldn't take that much maintenance as it would have the access it needed to mails direct from the server.
I'm not sure I understand what you mean about API keys why would they have anything to do with it? The only information given would be name, ship lost and system hardly top secret stuff. |

Here's why: Because no one truly cares if you want to hide your lost
When i get a battle i like to be able to tell to story of what happened, the fact that i need to get all kill mails from everyone is kinda lame, i should be able to show everything that happened.
This is about the eve is real part of the game, the part where you can tell a story about what happened and show how fun it was, also kill mails are way to inaccurate has they are. |

I thought you were asking why CCP (as in, the devs who play the game) doesn't have a killboard to show off their kills. Make it idiot-proof and someone will make a better idiot. |

I too have often wondered why CCP never put up a Killboard themselves or a "Gallactice Violence chart" or something they keep promoting the cycle of gathering -> building -> Usage -> expendeture / Destruction and yet they wont show it off how awesome this cycle is themselves? :( |

So wouldn't a board that pulls all kill mails from server automatically and shows the result of a battle for you solve that? No waiting for people to send/post mails, no missing mails etc making them more accurate? |

I love linking these nice kill mails they are nicer then numbers on a 3rd party site. Id like to be able to see battles and link to them later even if i dint save them.
Your idea sounds great. Better then just having corporate mails because no one trully only fights for the corporation, lots of people play around with friends not even in the alliance. |
