I am merely wondering if anyone else who does highsec deadspace complexes are experiencing fewer drops from the Overseer NPC. I am aware of the "new expansion, nerfed drop rates" phenomenon, but it so happens that it's not distinct to only me; I asked around a select few and the general consensus was that they are also experiencing this. I know that a very minute sample doesn't constitute any statistical significance whatsoever.
I am not complaining, merely curious.
Has anyone else experienced this?

Drop rates appeared to fall some time back - haven't noticed any significant change recently |

I can't say I have noticed any significant changes, but I don't doubt a decrease might have happened at some point. The drop rates were low to begin with and the amount of sites even a group of players can find is too low to make any definite conclusions. At least the same loot keeps dropping and proportional scarcity between the drop types seems to be unchanged, so any potential change made hasn't been drastic. |

Yesterday, I put together a new probing ship and went out for my first little trip since the new mechanics arrive on TQ. Somehow, I ended up finding three 4/10 sites in a row and came home with 11 mid-level c-type mods...
..but sure, that wasn't from the overseers, per se.

I'm a relatively respectable citizen. Multiple felon perhaps, but certainly not dangerous. |

How would you know that for a fact? Random works both ways so if you base your "facts" on your experience so far then uhm... yeah. Also; just because CCP didn't state it was nerfed doesn't mean it didn't happen.
I'm not saying it DID get nerfed... or not, but people spouting their "facts" on this subject is a bit silly.

I run DED 8/10 - 10/10 in null. I have noticed a significant drop in loot drop rates but not from latest expansion. More like around 6 months ago or so.
For example in the last 2 weeks I have run 22 DED sites and have received nothing but the nth tier Overseers effect from each site.
If CCP would please just reply to any one of the forum posts like this that pop up often about loot drops and confirm one way or another if they were changed for DED sites it would put everyone's mind at rest. It would let us know something was changed or we are just on a bad luck streak. Please reply CCP 
Another thing I would love to know is whether the faction POS equipment and tower BPC's that we reintroduced with oddysey are present in DED site loot tables, even if its just a 1% drop chance. I would really like to know, as them only being in relic and data sites would seem a bit off.

Yeah, this is old news. The unrated plexes have stupidly low faction spawn/drop rates. The RNG thing is the same but there are a lot more "nothings" in the loot table now. Rated plexes I haven't noticed any change really. |

I don't even want to ask....
If the drop rates are higher, then people complain that there is too much and prices drop. If there isn't enough, people complain that they don't get said items and get their billions. No matter what the drop rate is, people are never happy.

All of these threads are based on the second variation of the Gambler's fallacy, assuming that bias (in this case, altered odds) is detectable from much smaller sample sizes than what would actually be necessary to detect, let alone identify, altered odds.

I made 3 bil from a Sansha 10/10 last week, 1.5 bil from a Blood Raider 10/10 the week before. Last night a chased down a sansha 9/10 (i don't usually do forsaken hubs any more, but did a few on a hunch last night and blam, fleet staging point escalation) and got some nice A-type loot.
A month ago I took a cloaky road trip to Goon Space and came out not only alive with my proteus intact, but with a nice 4 bil woth of pith/guristas loot . The month before the same road trip netted me 300 mil for doing more plexes. Same goes for Angel and serpentis space.
Random is random. There is no problem with the drops, the problem is your luck.

Indeed, done "some" unrated null sites (about a dozen lately) with no escalation or serious faction spawn, the single BC faction I've blown up was so happy then I looted the can: 1000 Dread Guristas Thorium charges and 1 Tag
I remember doing low sec sites and getting B-Type invulns, B-Type Remote Repair Shield and B-Type Hardener in the same single rat...
