In a nice stroke of metagaming the Goons saved their new station in 4-E in Eastern Fountain. The station had a shield timer and TEST and NC. won the brief fight in system. However a member of Dreddit with roles offlined one of the Sovereignty Blockade Units and it was quickly onlined by a Goon.
When the SBU was taken by Goons the station became invulnerable and the timer was reset saving the station.
Test blew up and replaced our former property and set up a new one which will lead to more action in this system during the week.

If you can't win fights, cheat, it's the Eve way. Mittani is claiming his spy was a member of Fweddit. |

I didn't realise you were so proud of it. I always thought Goons liked a good piece of metagaming.

PEOPLE OF DEKLEIN YOU ARE BEING DECEIVED.
Hint: you know there's an article on TMC which has a subtext that reads F*** Goons? It's your CEO's address where he lies in every sentence to lure you to your dooms. |

To put things in perspective you burned a spy with roles to take a SBU worth 200m isk and welped 3.4 BILLION isk of spaceships to cover the act.

It was a nice stall but don't get too smug about winning. |

While we're adding perspective i should also mention that there's probably not that much time left to burn spies anyway.

I quite like Fountain and I've decided to stay. No, you can't have my stations.
Hi xttz, you better get more people in fleet then.
CFC just came to contest a timer with 50 wolves. Didn't work out so well. http://evemaps.dotlan.net/system/Y-1W01/events

Tsk tsk elite pvp snobbery. That has tended to not work out well for alliances that have embraced it in the past.
I guess with every Goon getting a free carrier you had to move on from the Rifter Hero gimmick. |

Maybe you don't log in much but you also have a tengu doctrine which is seeing daily use and until BL killed them a Techfleet TFI doctrine.
but please spin how you're all low sp pilots in T1 Cruisers. |

See? Told you the accountants are embezzling all the money.
As for drawing the wrong lessons from history any such lesson is always an analogy. So if we look at history and take just one example, say Goons v Bob, you could say whoever the Goons are in this analogy will win. Young alliance, not many friends, breaking into a closed circle of nullsec politics, mostly low skill point pilots - the Goons in this analogy are obviously Test and modern Goons with their bloat and arrogance are clearly Bob.
The truth is that each situation is different that the Goons v Test war is very nicely balanced and that both you lot and us are at the mercurial whims of our sometimes allies.
I got to fly under PGL today which I enjoyed very much and I hope Nulli will be with us for some time but who knows, maybe next week we'll be against them and then it will be a campaign of slowing down your invasion, just as currently it's a campaign for you of doing that to us.
The only thing I'm fairly sure of is that it's going to be a long war and that's already a minor victory for us as we could easily have crumpled in the first weeks. I went through NOL today and there was one other blue there, the TEST commitment to Karan has been magnificent. |

Speaking of history, here we have a perfect example of the "not losing fast enough therefore we are winning argument. This one is a perfect specimen.
Speaking of history "not losing fast enough therefore we are winning" turned out to be the literal truth for the Soviet Union in 1941. |

Speaking of embezzling money, can you explain a broadcast like this to me? Quote:Gentlemen, we've got so much to do tonight, let's take care of some vermin before they become an infestation. TALWARS AWAY!
Fleet Name: Tally-Ho! FC: Arch Aengelus Doctrine: Talwars || Talwars > Talwars > Talwars > Electronic Attack Frigs > Frigs Comms: Battlecomms Fleet 4 Reimbursible: No. Stop being poor. Purpose: FIGHT! Karan POS @ NOW
#### SENT BY Zverofaust to All online allies @ 2013-06-18 23:14:50 EVE Time #### So talwars are so cheap why even reimburse them? Is that the logic here? I mean obviously you can reimburse any and every single ship that is destroyed so there must be another explanation.
Spy!
OK, we reimburse certain ships, not frigates or destroyers. Certain frigates and destroyers are given out free by a special service called Test Free.
Talwars fall between the cracks as they are not standard stock for Test Free but they are deemed too cheap to bother our rather busy Reimbursement team with. (And a cheap T1 fit talwar would be, what?, about 2 million isk?)
Sometimes FCs have been making mistakes recently and have called for talwars and put Reimbursable: Yes in the ping. This is an administrative headache for our middle management dinos as talwars are not a reimbursable ship.
We've more or less trained our FCs to stop telling people talwar fleets are reimbursable but line members still ask "FC is this reimbursable?" most times we take Talwars out.
It's a bit rubbish I grant you but I don't make the rules. |

hahahaha oh man we are doomed. edit: Callduron you were the first one to bring up a WWII analogy, you have clearly won this discussion. edit2: So just to be clear, in your mind (and only in your mind's wild imagination) you are a Russian in the 40s and a low sp goon in 07-09. Gotcha.
Actually I'm an Englishman in 2013 who sometimes plays video games including this one. Sorry you got confused. |
