Unfortunately I can no longer keep one of my alts in system to keep the bot from running. I was debating on actually trying to kill the tower, but they have added some guns to it now so that doesn't seem likely to happen and no one is actually eager to help due to the fact that even if we do kill the tower, they will just plop another one somewhere else in the system.
I am curious how long it does take CCP to investigate the bot, because I reported him days ago, yet he still is logged in constantly save for down time. The NPC kills in the system, when I do have an alt in there, have flat lined over the last couple of days to zero kills. Yet, the bot remains unmoved.
Every time I log in, I immediately do a 5 degree directional scan at the bots moon. For that first moment, he is not at the POS obviously. Before I even come out of warp from my log on and land at my safe spot, he pops up on 5 degree scan at the POS. Basically impossible to catch.
Even after zooming up on his Tengu and playing with the ship viewer to find exactly what sub systems they have fit, it appears to even be a nullified Tengu, so anchoring bubbles is not an option. And again, we are back to the only option a player has to combat these insta-warping bots is dedicate an alt in the system and keep them logged in 23/7.
SadlyI can no longer keep an alt there. I have the bot added to my watch list on all my accounts and hopefully, one day, I will see that little round green indicator that shows they are online, turn to red.

From all that I have read on the forums, no one in null sec can bot because it is so dangerous in null, and the intel channels and cyno-jamming of systems just are not good enough to allow for botting to take place. Further, as already stated, the reward is just not high enough in null sec to justify the tremendous risk involved to rat / mine in null sec while at the keyboard, let alone run bot programs, or heaven forbid, entire fleets of mining bots. At least, that is what I infer from the statements by knowledgeable null sec players who post on the forums, and clearly, they must be correct. How else do you explain the fact that CCP has bent over backwards to accommodate their reasonable requests to increase null sec mining income an order of magnitude, and plan on increasing yet again?

In all seriousness, your description isn't very convincing. "Botter" could easily be an ordinary nullsec ratter who leaves his character logged in and watches local. |
