What is up with the forum moderators?

Not that I'm much of a techie but I believe they like more information to go on such as that of your computer - dxdiag ftw.
Oh and check your drivers."
Obviously not a techie, since I can log in and play the game before there's over 16.5K people on, but have trouble after. Somehow I don't think that my drivers or directx care what time of the day it is or how many people are playing EvE.
This 'tech help' forum is almost as bad as WoW's.

The Technical support section isn't ran for them to help with every single problem. It is here to provide you instructions on how to send a log and to solve frequently asked problems that fall within the relm of officially supported hardware. Of course much of the hardware we use today aren't officially supported and many have problems that are not a result of EVE coding it wrong but the driver manufactuerers trying to reduce the time to market on drivers.
That said... there are many on the forum that come here to help others because we are either tech savvy or have discovered by trial and error the fix to a common problem on common hardware/software issues.
You can dis them all you want it doesn't give them anymore R&D cash to test every new piece of product for eve compatibility. And more times than not, there is a problem with driver installation and the easiest way to find it is by DXDiag. Nvidia drivers are the most common example of it. Joe user doesn't understand they need to uninstall them and use cleaner software to avoid their Dell's taking a dump when they update that Geforce OEM cards that may or may not work with normal Geforce reference drivers ( and Nvidia TOS and EULA state this. )

That one little statment I kinda disagree with. It is thier job to help people with technical issues. That's part of what they get paid to do. I admit I am new to this MMO, but I wouldn't or expect anyone to spend money and get crappy support in it. I am not sayng thier support is crappy here myself because I haven't been here long enough to give a good evaluation of it one way or the other. I also wouldn't knock Blizard because compared to alot of other MMO's they rate on the top 10 as far as support goes. Now I will end this off with a just be thankful that SOE and Lucas Arts isn't running this game. Those of you who have played SWG for any length of time know what I am talking about. lol

Perhaps if they provided a search option we might be able to find existing threads. A forum without a search is iviting multiple posts on the same topics simply because unless you use an external (eve-search.com) website, you cannot search their forums - what do they expect?
