Topic says it all.
For everyone out there whining about not getting their hands on a miner II blueprint, you apparently did not read the log from the latest CSM. In it, one of the devs stated that technology will be introduced into the game fairly through several methods. Sometimes it will be skill, sometimes affiliations, and sometimes just pure luck that you or your corp were chosen to be given something.
So please stop:
1.) Threatening to cancel your accounts and trying to rally others to your cause. You really look stupid and immature when you do this.
2.) Complaining that TTi or some other corp has Polaris volunteers when said volunteers as well as devs and gm's have stated repeatedly that Polaris standing has no connection to ingame "gift giving"
3.) Throwing accusations around with no basis in fact concerning the "unfair" distribution of new technology.
Also, if someone could find a link to the latest CSM chat and post what the dev said concerning new tech being introduced (I think it was Hellmar) it would really help, since I tried to find it but was unsuccessful. I partially blame myself for forgetting to make a log of it.

People in Polaris shouldn't be in a player corp at all. Any corp that has them as members will always be looked upon as being 'in' with the devs.
Doesn't matter if it's true or not.

Arathmon, the new technology should be implemented through events and through the market, not through gm's handing people stuff for free for doing absolutely nothing.

this is not polaris and it is not an event as nebulai himself stated in another post.
this is a BAD solution to a dev screwup, plain and simple. It is NOT introduction of new tech it is a joke.
and just for the record csms are a bit of a waste of time when it comes to actually finding out useful stuff, mainly because the people that ask questions seem to ask the same stuff week in week out and its usually bad stuff at that.

Agreed... the "item" introduced was not and never has been in question. It is the method of introduction, favouritism, and poor judgement that is the problem here, people are not "threatening" to cancel accounts but for them to bring up the possibilty of leaving? That constitutes a serious issue of trust for CCP plain and simple... in this instance they have "screwed the pooch" and allowed their clientele on which they depend.. to question their integrity and internal policing. This whole situation has caused not only myself but a great many others a good deal of concern for equitable playing experience by all. Not just because your friends with a GM or Polaris members in your Corp..

I dont care if people ***** and moan, just do it all in one thread.
And yes, i agree with Stavros that the miner II intro was very very very poorly done.
They should have just deleted that Miner 5 and said screw it.

from one of the CSM, dev lied about tech 5 laser "event", then give us a reason to believe dev's statement without any hard proof?

I can remember that the devs stated, too that secure containers were avialable at the market - when they obviously were not. I think they were introduced - when? 2 Weeks? 3? after that "they are on the market" statement.
So much for the devs "word". So far we have only one way of distribution - "just pure luck", and a very limited way as well. 2 copies, creating a ultra-monopol.
Economically this is just as bad as the older surgical strike - damage mods or mwd imbalances. Heck, it's far worse - those could at least be reproduced by everyone.

CSM = Carrot Swinging Meeting?
Honest I know its an attempt to communicate and interact with the player base but come on.
The same carrots as at the end of beta keep getting tossed around. Always something to cling to. " just wait it's coming " be patient and keep paying.
Stop with the carrots for a bit and concentrate on fixing what is known to be broken.

Many of you have said there should be new content, that level 2 should be introduced, how there should be roleplay to get these items ingame.
Some of my points are based on rumours on how and why it would be introduced.
Well it all started because some dev. roleplayed, and two other gamemasters roleplayed their part.
Thats 1 wish granted.
You all wanted tech level 2, well it got in... And this corp decided to make the miners available for open market and didnt keep it to themselves. I would have, i would have hold onto it for more than 3 days so i would mine like hell in a few days and then maybe i would check out whats in next patch to hold onto it some more.
But there you got it, another wish granted. You got tech level 2 and its available to everyone for a certain price.
Jove were used to apear in the game, they even had little mini events (MASS, TTI, the roleplay dude.) There you got your last and final wish: More content to the game.
People got what they asked for, and now its bad because they cannot make money from it. They lost their income from cu's xcel's and dual's, should have think of that when you asked for new content.
Funny thing is, the ones using the term: carebear the most are now the ones that whine about: "game going down by this move." and more of that hypocryte reactions.
This will evolve the game and increase the content. I will love this new era.

This was a MAJOR blunder and the fix seems to be far worse. Don't try and pass this off as some kind of wish granting session.
P.S. Once it has been proven that someone has lied in the past it is almost impossible to beleive anything they ever say again.

P.S. 2. Anyone ever notice this kind of crap always seems to happen just after their credit cards get billed for another month? (those that got in early).

I hear that Sauron the Dark One is Massing the Orcs to invade Sector Minas Tirth, however a Alliance of Elves, Dawrfs, and Amarrians are is forming to combat them. might be some tech 3 loot to scavage..........
