Newer shiny metal shaded portions of ship models have a pixelated appearance to them when viewed at most angles. These shaders can also appear brighter than I appear they are intended to on several ships, particularly Minmatar ships.
I have uploaded two examples to see if anyone else has had similar issues: Apocalypse Example Maelstrom Example
I am currently using an Nvidia GTX 670 and have tried both 310.90 and 314.22 WHQL drivers. I have not had similar issues in other applications, and it only appears on the shiny metal shader described.
Any input is appreciated from those both with and without this issue. |

How does the nebulae cubemap affect the textures on the ships within like that? I can see the same sort of pixelation on the metal parts of ships in the ship hanger too, it's not nearly as obvious but it is there. Is that caused by the same thing too? Just curious. :P |

I have a somewhat related problem where the shader effects are not affected by anti aiasing. I've already reported it as a bug, but maybe someone else has the same and woud like to give feedback.
This video shows the problem in-hangar, but it's always there. Anti-alias is active(!), as you can see at the outer borders of objects. http://f.owledge.de/EVE_wavering_hangar.avi
Happens with Geforce GTX 260 and GTX 760, and with any kind of driver setting or version. As soon as I set shaders to medium or high, this occurs. |
