OK, let me move the discussion.
Yes, it is the macro miners... They were bragging in another thread that they make 30 000 000 000 a day! That is like mining billions and billion of trit!
Now, here is the apocalypse, here is the end game, here is the death of this game!
They prob. have a few hundred billion ISK...
1) they buy ALL the R.A.M., yes all of it! On an alt, I bought about 75 mil R.A.M. in caldari space last month just for kicks... I've seen the price rise a lot, threads pop up on R.A.M. etc! OK, so I was evil, but I just wanted to see what happenned. Right now someone with about 1-5 billion ISK could buy ALL of it, lock down the game tight.
2) Macro miners buy ALL the escrow, yes ALL of it! Then for three days they buy ALL of it again and again. They shift all faction items, implants, and rares to EBAY so they can make real money off that as their ISK prices plummet due to macroing.
3) Macro miners buy ALL the sell board. They create better named alts, then buy ALL the sell board ALL the time. They easily lock down a few hundred good characters 'legally' then they can move into any field they want.
4) Macro miners buy ALL the T2 production and ships. We wake up and ALL the T2 ships of any worth in all regions are GONE and now are on Ebay. On Ebay they already sell fitted ships, so they might just buy ALL them and sell them...
5) Macro miners buy ALL the time cards, and extend they shell-game protected accounts for 1-3 years. CCP gets a huge injection of cash, ONCE, and now macro miners with PRE PAID accounts for THREE YEARS can work on a return on their money.
You see the problem is they have so many hundreds of billions of ISK now, but they are stupid as far as real economics. As soon as one of them learns to 'play' the game and asks 'how can I make MORE real life cash' then any of these senarios are in play, and the game is over.
So what I want to see is this. A discussion in Rekyavik like this.

Anyway, I hope these discussion take place in the PRE PLANNING stage, as what do we do if these accounts start unloading their 100 billion ISK. I don't want this game to tank like so many others due to macro miners! |
