Is CONCORD extending its influence?
according to the actions taken against the jove exiles for the past few days it seems so...
CONCORD seems to be overextending their reach somewhat though, placing bounty on jove renegades operating in non secure space. Effectively hiring mercaneries to take care of the "menace".
We, who operate in secure space still have to watch our backs...specially since every hireable with a gun is now on the other side of the galaxy chasing people who, because of their illness, have fled away from their homes.
the security of the somewhat "less" secure systems within the known space is being jepordized because of it. A 100 million ISK will do a great deal in fortifying known space with either more sentry guns, a better pirate tracking system (the head of the team who computed the current one should be called for responsibility) or simply a direct donation to the cause of peace through partnership.
I, the director of MASSi want to congratulate the members of the Gallente and Caldari parties that are working together (a somewhat glorious event considering their background). I wish CONCORD would recognize that they exist because of combined effort like the one between the Caldari and the Gallente.
CONCORD can thus not take matters into their own hands as they have with the Jove exiles.
I urge CONCORD to call their support on the attack Jove exiles back to secure space. Or else extend their border of protection as an act of war to the area of STAIN (unless of course the current controllers of Stain accept the protection of CONCORD).

It just means that CONCORD is to busy "trying" to halt the pirate corps and thus not able to handle the Jovian scum that threatens our lands. Besides... CONCORD can't even handle their own troops well since they shot down Corp. members of mine in .9 sec sector. So CONCORD needs to get it all in working order.
As for the Jovians, they will prolly be allowed to move free through space unless we gather our strangth and show CONCORD how to handle invaders, after that we could teach them a few other tricks... ---

why should CONCORD "handle" the jovians that threaten YOUR space?
Jovians, in their own quarantine, should allow scientists from the combined forces of known space to assist(however inferiour they deem us).
that is "if" we are able to join hands in creating such a group...i do like the actions between the Gallente and the Caldari, but too much secrecy implies foul play and calls extremists to action vs. "possible" threats.
I call upon the Minmatar republic to offer haven for all scientists who value the knowledge of reason more than the blood of war.
I declare peace upon the world, but unfortunately the computer system will not allow such an action to be entered, I keep getting error messages telling me no one has surrendered!

CONCORD is screwing up at the moment. Why do you think they placed the bounty on the Jovians?? not because they care about them. It's because they can't protect us when they threaten us. It's true that the races should stand up and protect ourselves against the Jovian threat that without doubt will soon come upon us. I for one will be willing to trade blows with them. Even if it means giving my live for the greater good of the free people.
And yes the Caldari will fight for their freedom, it has been our way and will always be the right one.
Yet I wonder how many of the others will try and bargain with the Jovians to save their skins... I will bet that the Pirates will either run from them or make a deal to hide under their protection. As for the Corps. When they Jovians are going to threaten their goods they will stand up. The only problem will be the fact that the rest won't be willing to assist the other Corp in hopes of swooping in and do some grave digging to see what they can steal.
It's all in favor of the biggest bully in town. And soon that bully will have a name, Jove. And CONCORD will try to enlist us to help them protect the universe. ---

I truly hope the Jove will not take pirates under their wings...if so, the bounty will rightfully belong where it is.
I to congratulate you in your fight for the freedom of the Caldari. I would like to invite you to the fight for the freedom of the galaxy, against all who would like to oppress and enslave.
Take care in the world of EVE - hopefully the gates will open and we will again become one race. Alveha - EY CEO |

Alveha... you have my name, feel free to contact me ingame to see if I can aid.
I cannot make promises right away but if the universe is threatened by the genetic scum then I will side with those who are willing to give their blood for the freedom of those who cannot fight for it. ---

Edited by: Aran'gar on 11/08/2003 17:09:24 It seems perfectly normal to me that CONCORD would take the word of the Jove directorate regarding this Ouria. What seems strange is that CONCORD would place a bounty on him and his brothers. Why didn't the Amarr state or the Jove directorate pay for the bounty? What has this man done to varrant such a huge bounty from CONCORD? He didn't kill a CONCORD official did he. He didn't steal from a CONCORD member state. Has he even been to empire controlled space? It seems that there is some other reason for this bounty from CONCORD, I doubt they would put so much effort into having this man caught if they didn't see him as a threat. Maybe the Amarr are pressuring CONCORD to take action since Ouria seems to be a threat to them.
I resent this secrecy and would very much like to know what truly lies behind this bounty.
