Ive found alot of macrominers have been making names that look like real players. But to check if its a macro, PVT convo the ships. If they start to spout grammatically incorrect, mispelled and some Asian letters, their macros. :D
and Now Im gonna make me a suicide Kestrel, fly it down to ammmold and blow me up some Cruiser/Destroyer macros. WHEEE
hell, the other day a macro miner stole ore from me and then tried to make me pay to get it back, AFTER i stole all of his macroed ore. HAHAHAHA. He stole from my first, so I stole back. and I said I'd give it back to him if he gave me my ore back first. but he didnt. and once i know the good suicide kessie config, Im gonna blow him up wheeee

Erm - afaik, the only ammo you need to take out a macrominer is an exploit petition....
Killing a macroer's ship does no good - he'll just go somewhere else & start right up again.
Sic a GM on him, & he gets banz0red.
But wait.....oic.......you want "their" ore.....
So you're farming macrominers.....

I doubt there is a shortage of targets for this, but Murini and the adjacent systems are presently plagued with macro miners.

There are people, rather than complaining about the macro-miners stripping out their home system, taking action to discourage them from even being in the region. Several players and eve corps have made it their core business model to destroy them when and where they can.
However, there are more macro-miners that the handful of anti-macro players to handle. It is going to take a EVE wide effort, with players sacrificing some of their hard won high Security Rating to take them down.
Reservior Dogs can only hit them once every 30 minutes, at a minimum. While we sit in the station waiting for the criminal flag to time out, they often return to have another go at the belts. We hit the same macro-miner twice in a 45 minute period.
The one we hit yesterday was attacked 3 times in a 12 hour period. After observing them through out the day, in our home system and other neighboring systems, it appears that the player (or Players) are sone sort of shift workers. They sit at a bank of computers and monitor the macro's running 23/7, trading off every 8 hours. We attacked them early in the day, in the evening, they returned and we attacked them twice.
CCP says they haven't the man power to handle the number of petitions coming in for Macro-miners. That I understand. So it is up to the player base to take action and hit them hard and fast. Keep your systems clear and they will find no place safe to strip out unattended.
Kill them where you find them
Keep up the pressure
Then Hit them again

Some people say that it is our duty to kill Macro Miners. I do for fun. It does not cost much or take away any training time from my main user. I steal ice from them to make up for the lost ships and equipment. Three Kestrals with thorn rockets can easily take done a Macro Miner's Ship. We will not get rid of them, but it is really a lot of fun killing them after stealing their ice all day.

More power to you. If every macro miner out there keeps getting blown up there will finally be ore in the belts for the REAL players.
I see macro groups all the time, a fleet of apocs just the other night in Nakri all with names very similar and random spelling, jibberish really, all created within seconds of each other and in the noobie corp.

We had what looked like macrominers in a 0.4 last week all named like real players there was about 8 barges and 2 itty 5's non responded to convo's and once the locals started killing them they all warped to stn one by one then to the gate one by one afta a couple of minutes of sitting outside the stn not been seen since. from Battlefield Supplies corp all 2 months old created on the same day . I hope this aint a macro "evolution"

I just thought of a great way that everyone could help out the Macro Killers. Just put a small bounty on any Macro Miners that you see. This will help us find them and make us a little money for killing them.

CCP has responded to petitions with info such as but not exactly: CCP will eventually take the time to ban macro miners but at this time we are more concerned with fixing bugs and releaseing new content.
I say kill the macros and this should become a main concern for CCP. Also they would mostly leave and quit if noone bought isk from them. So whos buying the isk and giving them a reason to maco mine in the first place?
If CCP doesnt work to stop it I'm afraid many good players will leave EVE.
Mine, Build, Sell, Mine, Build, Sell, Mine, Build, Sell...seems like work to me. |
