Tonight for the first time in a 1v1, i was podded. Usually if i 1v1 i don't pod but i keep the mods and the same has been if i lose. This fella from RISK alliance said (after the fact) that he always pods. I guess 1v1's don't have the honor that they used to
eve poll:
Do you stop with the mods or do you pod?

I tend not to pod/ask not to be podded, as i like a good convo with the winner/loser after the fight. When you pod someone they tend not to like talking.

It really depends on the circumstances , but if you eneter into a 1v1 anything goes i suppose unless previously agreed , and even then the agreement would be precarious .

A 1v1 has exactly the rules you agree beforehand.
No more.. no less.

Personally, I don't pod for no reason, but I will snag the pod, and ask for a donation to release it.
Good donation gets a module turned off.
No donation gets a module turned on.
Nothing personal... just another way to make ISK.

Depends, I never pod right away..
First of I do a Little ransom try : P
If the guy smacks I pod right away : )
Sometimes I let them go even if they donŠt pay ransom, if they are nice that is : )
And I never pod if I was in way better ship and the guy didnŠt have any change : P

Excatly. All the rules should be discussed before hand, even those that you would think are obvious. Make sure you state no warping out for example.

Id Pod someone in a 1 vs 1.
If they said agreed not to before hand of course I'd obey, but otherwise , anything goes. |

"Good fight, mate. I almost had you, but you came out on top... Hey, wtf? Stop that. This was a 1v1. You can't do that! Please stop!"
I'd have podded you even if I had said I wouldn't pod you. I'm usually more honouable, I just dislike NBSI with a passion.

I personaly ain't a sad roll player, I do not fight for money, or this "honor", but fun..it is just a game
To beat a better ship in a lesser is an achievment, I see no gain in podding, ship vs pod
I do agree with podding those stuck up 35M skill pointers and macro miners

If I get challenged to a 1v1 I will always podkill unless I can't spare the sec rating. I will also have a couple of my guys standing by for the inevitable reinforcements that will arrive to help the guy I'm fighting, since fair 1v1s no longer occur in Eve Online - doubly so if your name happens to be Istvaan Shogaatsu.

I only pod when there is a given reason, like when dealing with pirates and outlaws who are known to kill for the joy, but even in a war, unless stated otherwise, I don't podkill.
A sort of 'honorable' combat, which ends when the other side would intentionally break it, but unless trying to cripple someone and knowing a podkill will do that, I don't see any reaon to bother. If it's not a war target, the sec hit isn't worth it in empire unless its going to HURT that evil person (like the loss of +5s or a set of 4s). ------------------------------------

almost all of my PvP is against enemy alliances. So i always pod-kill because they'd do the same to me.
Also gets them out of local faster

I'd give you a noble 1v1 if you'd stick to it, but given your higher sps, pvp experience, and the 55+bil you have to spend on mods, it would be a one-sided beatdown. ------------------------------------
