WoW, land of Bind on Pickup items, is more market driven than Eve, where everything in the game is built by players. Hahahaha.

Edited by: Kyguard on 27/11/2005 18:31:36 Heh. Yes WoW has an economy that's player driven when your most basic and some advanced items are bought from an NPC seller that never runs out. While in eve, everytime you cry or smile, a mod falls from the sky...
Btw, someone who has an active account in WoW. Post the link to this thread on that thread. --

I think she meant something like that wow developers design their game to please masses where eve is niche market and developers design more like what "feel right". I think its marketing team designing wow instead developers with vision of their own.
I remember when Ultima Online developer said on forums something like that designers were making bunch of ideas and then marketing team did research and picked "profitable" ideas. They got all sort of focus groups/surveys these days to collect data. This started to happen long after Richard Garriot had left the team who was the one with vision for that game. It's almost sad when comparing what UO used to be and what its today and it is starting to show in its subscription numbers.

For once, I'd like to see a game review written from an EVE player perspective.
Basically trying to explain what the heck a "guild" is would be a good start.

My Favorite quote:
Some Paladin: Eve is a fantastic game, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The community was great, most likely due to the fact that if you called someone a retard on the forums, they could track you down and blast your corpse into space.

"Q u o t e: (Zumda) And to all WoW players: You should be ashamed.

A great man once wrote that using multiple !-signs were signs of a diseased mind. I'm sure these "EVE-people" are "smart" enough to figure this out.
But hey, whatever floats your boat, EVE is as interesting as watching paint dry. *edit* I could go on and on about their spelling-mistakes, but I won't bother, since they'd probably get all get sad and start whining, Forum-style.

Lol, I see more (ex)Eve players commenting on WoW forum. I've never played WoW. So it wouldn't interesting to read their argument in this thread. And for WoW players... we got 14 days trial ----------------------------- And now a word from my sponsor
