Obviously it doesn't do either of us any good if we're left open to being scammed. Which is why for those kinds of transactions you'd typically use a 3rd party escrow service (Chribba, Darknesss, etc). Of course that means you have to trust the escrow agent, but generally speaking that's better than trusting the scallywag trying to kill you.

Good job defending so far. Your tower will go down, eventually. |

You do not understand. It isn't the wormhole we want. It is the pew that brought us to your door.

Again with the baseless accusations. Korr offered a good price for the carrier. We do not and will not tolerate scammers. FREEE and LLAMA are small, but over the years, we have developed a decent rep from those both blue and red. Asshats yes, generally a **** show yes, but honest about it.

Posting about this in GD, how you defend your faction pos with faction mods with only 3 ppl, using carriers might get you the wrong kind of attention. Your tower mods alone are worth a few bil... Posting the WH ID takes it to a whole new level of stupid.
You have had the "luck" that both attackers and defenders are on the same TZ and that you can put up an actual resistance. Now you might start thinking about pulling 23 hours shift defending that POS because the next asshats might not come on such a convenient time.

You're new to w-space concepts, aren't you?
Logging off the carrier in a safe achieves nothing if there is no POS to come back to. There's no advantage for paying a ransom for said carrier, where it is going to go?
The days of corps with few people unaligned maintaining a w-space presence are all but over. It was a fun run being a 2 man corp back in the days when you wouldn't see outside traffic for weeks. You might get a 24hrs period of traffic free activity from outside if you're lucky these days. We want breast augmentations and sluttier clothing in the NeX! |

Those don't spawn period. They aren't in the spawn tables, they were created by ccp for events and other potential future uses. Otherwise there would be supers in c6s already(the "rare" whs have the mass for them).

You both so silly, the database contains other special wormholes(supercaps entering 6 holes, etc), but like I said above, they aren't in the spawn tables.

1,350m mass wormholes spawn and could allow a SC in, but won't (try it and see)
A Class 3 will never spawn a capital-capable wormhole. The only way you'd get a carrier out is a GM porting you out.
Should've logged the carrier if it was that valuable. Even without a POS to go back to so long as you have a cloaky prober in there too you can just wait out the attack and so long as the pilots stay logged off noone will be any the wiser. Or just SD it at your convenience for basic insurance. |

If your POS is still not incapped, you haven't lost yet. Hire some good mercs to flush them out, or as others have said, log off your carriers with cloaks fitted and all your valuables inside in safe spots, and just wait for the attackers to get bored and leave.
Meanwhile, shore up those POS defenses and make sure they don't starve you out of fuel. A large POS should be able to obliterate any force of 10-15 subcaps if you set it up correctly. |

Actually those 1.35bil mass holes only allow capitals, the smallest mass supercap the Hel, is over by 50mil meaning it won't fit. |

a very good question The American public's reaction to the change was poor and the new cola was a major marketing failure. The subsequent reintroduction of Coke's original formula, re-branded as "Coca-Cola Classic", resulted in a significant gain in sales, leading to speculation that the introduction of the New Coke formula was just a marketing ploy |

Background information:
Our friend, Acheaen, is deployed and serving his country as an American soldier. He requested that we look after his carrier while he was away. He is an exceedingly loyal friend and an exceptionally good man. He has always been there for us whenever we needed him.
The situation:
Eve Animal Control, specifically F.R.E.E. Explorer, an alliance bent on eliminating squatters from wormholes invaded J101612 , the wormhole where Acheaen's Nidhoggur is stationed eight days ago. They requested that we pay them 10 billion isk to leave. Out of honor, we declined. We expected that the Thanatos and the POS would go down, but we tried not to lose hope over the Nidhoggur.
Ever since, it has been my husband, myself, and our good friend, Dad defending the Nidhoggur with everything we've got. (Namely, a Domination tower, fitted well with batteries, a Thanatos and whatever ships I can bring in) We have managed to rally small fleets of friends on 3 occasions, to no avail other than morale boosts. While our friends have offered us help at points throughout the ordeal, we have been putting in 8 hour shifts, guarding the POS and the carrier.
Due to our real life priorities as students and the need to support ourselves via jobs, my husband and I cannot hold the POS any longer. We have unfortunately failed our friend.
Let it be known that we did our best to save Olympia, the Nidhoggur in an attempt to ensure that our friend did not return from duty to a lost carrier and fend off the ruffians that are Eve Animal Control.
What more can 3 people with infrequent support do against a 93 man corporation other than fend them off for a little more than a week?
Thank you for your time.

Seriously it is obvious that some people have no idea how to setup a pos for WH. A well set up Large tower with 3 trained gunners should have NO problem holding off a force of 10 - 15 subcaps. Nuet+Jams, then kill. I bet the pos has large guns(lol). And a sudden plunge in the sullen swell. Ten fathoms deep on the road to hell. |

The tower was set up properly with tons of jammers and small/med guns.
Because of this whine thread, these guys had several merc groups working pro bono for them, as well as hiring Norwhals.
Which is sad. Had I been aware of this sob story ahead of time I probably would have had sympathy and pulled out without the loss of dignity generated by this thread. I am a very reasonable person. |

I seen a well fit, well manned Domination tower decimate a capital fleet a couple of years back.
Maybe you should revise your tower setup and get some more POS gunners.
2 or 3 POS gunners manning between 8 and 12 guns should generate more than enough tears from a small BS fleet. |

AFAIK:
Tower is still up (un-gunned, but enough jsmmers and small/med guns for the POS to be a pain) Mercs both hired and pro-bono. FREEE moving on to the next hole. Fighting numbers like the ones that have been showing up is not smart. Narwhales can field 3 times our number on a good day for us and bad day for them. Fighting them and the POS is a losing proposition.

Yes, it is a numbers game. that said pulling info off of dotlans and calling out 93 vs 3 is utter bullshit. No corp in eve short of maybe yours has the actual people that is reported.
