Edited by: Schola on 26/11/2003 23:17:11 Our corp is interested in individuals AND other corps wishing to come into a larger organisation with more resources. We have succesfully merged 2 entire corps and the majority of another corp into us.
For security reasons all applicants must post screenshots of their char selection screen, and skill screens on our corp forums, after entry these posts can be deleted if you wish.
If you are interested in joining STK Scientific, there is a few things you need to know first.
1) We have members from various timezones, and have a continual 24/7 presence. Anybody that wants to join us and is willing to contribute will most likely be accepted.
2) The members all work towards the improvement of the corporation, be this in a single group or subgroups, or solo. No single individual or subgroup will be showed favoritism.
3) Any BP's STK buys, STK owns. Any BP's an individual buys are theirs, unless they donate them to STK. Any BP's bought into STK in a takeover are the property of the members of the old corp, unless they wish to donate them to STK. BP's originals owned by STK are kept in a secure hanger with very limited access. BP copies that do not have a direct use/user are kept in another bay for everybody's use.
4) We do not sell items within the corp. If it is in our Q-Store or Ammo hanger it is free for use. If it needs to be made, you can make it yourself, or supply the minerals and get it made for you. If you are doing work for the corp, you get supplied everything you need that the corp "can" provide.
5) New individual members will be guided and helped as much as they need.
6) Corps being amalgamated into STK will be helped as well. The CEO, or a member of the old corp's Board will join our board. Everyone gets view (but not take) access to the warehouse and Research bay. All other hangers have full access.
7) We do NOT pay anybody.
8) We do NOT force anybody to do anything. Whatever you want to do is fine by us, we are sure you will be contributing, and will support you in any way possible. If you want organised activities we have them, If you want to lone wolf off by yourself, thats fine too.
9) Our Board of Directors is a guiding force, not a Dictatorship. Corp policy is decided by majority rule within the corp.
10) We do not have strict divisions. Our Directors organise activities as required by the corp. If someone wants to form a rigid division within STK that is fine with us, just no one has wanted too yet.
Corp Membership: 86(as at 271 Nov)
Please contact Deus, Temerlyn, Beneb or Badfish in game. Alternatively post at the STK Scientific Forum to show your interest in joining. You will be invited to join our corporate channel.
You will be able to get a good idea of how the corp works here, and we can get to know you better. When you decide to join us, you application will be processed and you will be welcomed into the fold.

Temerlyn, remember what I said. If you choose to go down this road, get out of Curse for your own Safety.
Taken from the May 29th 2003 Devchat at EveGate . <Muaddid> Q: When will sentry gun and station and similar construction pods be introduced on the market? <Hellmar> we have various player owned entities already implemented. Sentry guns, power/shield generators, field repair mini-stations, mobile refineries. We are still working out the last tidbits of how they can be over taken, what is the penalty of having a sentry gun kill a n00b etc. and we have been a bit busy with plugging the holes that people have found.I would say that you'd start to see these items on the market in about 2-3 weeks, very expensive to begin with |

"Don't you worry Kalki Nibiru, I'll keep them safe from MASS pirates, Don't you worry."
We arent pirates, you and others can call us "Pirates of a different name" however we are just protecting ourselves. There was a possibility STK was going to join with MASS, however it seems they are no longer cripled and can still operate. STK is part of the Curse Alliance the last time I heard, and as such are enemies of the Stain Alliance.
The Stain Alliance will not allow its enemies to conduct buisness at its front door, and as such we are engaging in military actions in the Curse region. What we are engaged in is merely protective measures.
What we are doing is no different than what the United States did with Cuba during the Cuban Missile Crisis. The United States couldnt have Nuclear weapons within attacking range from their enemies, the Russians, and we cannot have our enemies within attacking range either.
If a coalition of non-pirate corporations was to form and create a regional alliance in Curse, I suspect the Stain Alliance would leave the region to operate on its own, however since there is a pirate presence in the region, Realpolitik dictates that we eliminate that threat, and anyone who tries to stop us from doing our work.

Edited by: Kalki Nibiru on 01/10/2003 02:20:15 Well if you look for Temerlyn's post "Death of a Salesman" you will see he talks about most of the corporation quitting in the last two patches and wanting to merge with another corporation because STK cannot continue to run. Here is his post:
Quote: We at STK Scientific have decided to shut our doors and close down our production. We have been going very strong since the release of eve and for a small sized corp we have planned well and gained much.
We shut down due to lack of people. The last 2 patches have lost us 70% of our active player base and the last patch made some key corp members quit eve.
Those of us who are left want to play eve out to its final conclusion and still believe it can be great and we desire to build an empire (stations, control areas etc)
STK Currently has about 2 Billion isk worth of assets. This is Calculated from the Origional BP's we have including the BS bp's, cash of 500mil roughly, various players equiped with BS's etc.
We are looking for a decent sized corp who want to create an empire. But we would like one who aren't over rigid especially considering we have a decent aussie player base and cant do corp things when were not on at your prime.
We seek a corp who will suit our needs and benefit from what we have achieved.
I myself would like to obtain some power in the new corp if possible especially considering the assets we will be passing over.
Contact me in game to talk more about this situation....
Yes, based on his post and my talks with him, I would say your corporation was crippled.

Um from the way I read my own quote I'm not denying we were crippled. We lost a lot of our members. Nothing in my previous post says we weren't. Please take time to read and comprehend before responding
Oh and It was you Kalki who said we weren't crippled. Trust me I know what is going on with STK, the past few days our network has gone offline and that is why I haven't stayed up on all the info. Playing golf is like playing fetch without the dog. |

Beneb, re-read your own post and comprehend how it would appear to someone else.
You said you were only gone for one day, that obviously infers to me and many others that you doubt my claim in my post, all I did was show you how I got the information. You are right, I am the one who said your corp was cripled, but that was based off of my interpretation of what Temerlyn said in his post and my personal talks with him.

Just to set things straight, my response to your decision has nothing to do with being angry, my corp didnt even vote to consider the matter yet.
My response was based off of my talks with you Temerlyn and how you said you were part of the alliance in 'name only' and the only reason you joined the CA was so you wouldnt get kicked out of Curse and lose the valuable minerals.
I took what you told me at face value, when I said get out of curse for your own safety I meant it in a good way, so you could save your corp from being killed by SA fleets. I thought you might want to come back to Curse once the CA has been defeated, however it seems I cant believe everything you say.
A lot of MASS officers didnt want you guys to merge with us, but I wanted to help you and convinced them to take it to a vote once you made up your mind.
When SA forces come to Curse and start podding you and your allies, remember that I only tried to help.
I've said what I have wanted, I'm not going to reply to this thread again.

Hello everyone, me and my friend "faustian dawn", are looking for a nice corp to settle into. We just started yesterday, weve done some of the agent missions already and got out of that ugly newb ship. We would prefer mining right now (ZZzzz..), if you guys would like to recruit us that would be great 8)

Were you not ex-m0o? I think you were, that or at least some other pirate corporation.

Do you tell your members that it's ok to kill them without you doing anything useful about it?

Quote: Edited by: Schola on 26/11/2003 23:17:11 Our corp is interested in individuals AND other corps wishing to come into a larger organisation with more resources.
Are you the corp that is using the grid exploit to mine Ark?

And how do I know? I have a friend in STK-S from the beta. The friend even told me what systems and belts that had 'hidden' belts. And guess what, on the map, they are those little tiny red spots in the middle of nowhere.
Now is this a 'tactic' or what?

But I also hear that the developers are fixing hidden belts every night and they get fewer and fewer. Thanks for that at least, but I did want to see GM's podkill them since they are exploiters.

Edited by: Beneb on 18/09/2004 02:51:18 Don't mind Core Bash he is not very bright. He's been killed too many times...oh wait, he's afraid to fight fair. Don't worry about SIM they haven't caused any slowdown in STK. Actualy I would like to thank them as they are giving our pvpers more targets and for some odd reason we have been making more money since we've gone to war with SIM.
JFYI, SIM declared war on us because they are part of CA and it's kind of funny because we hunt them more than they hunt us. But, usually they are in their stations.

Yes, Core Bash is quite correct, the 180 odd members of STK are very concerned about the 5 active members of the CA alt corp known as Spartan Industrial Mining.
And if you believe that, I have a Jovian Battleship to sell u.........
Our corp chat regularly has double the number of people in it online, then Spartan Industrial has in its entire corporation, including alts and bogus characters.
Mosquitos can be mildly irritating for a brief period - but eventually they get swatted.

Oh come on - a little competition never hurt anyone.
Anyway, to clear things up, we are in no way an alt corp. We are all full time members with an incredibly skilled (and dated) battle hardened psychopath of a CEO. I'm glad we're helping out your combat wing - they could use it. The last target that flew into our HQ was in a Blackbird armed with a small blaster and 3 sensor boosters. I'll give your combat wing the benefit of the doubt and assume that this particular STK combat pilot smoked too much ***** *******. We'll take blood samples from his corpse to confirm, and we'll check the rest of the corpses to make sure he wasn't dealing to any other STK members.
Keep up the good fight guys, we're having a blast.
