When I joined EVE the most famed (at least initially) anti-pirate corp was EVE Marshalls (before they join Fountain and dissappeared). I also remember PIE's work in tackling piracy in Sarum back in the days it was low-sec.
Anyway I am wondering if there are any modern equivalents to those stalwart anti-pirate corps nominated by the pirates themselves.
So here is a quick poll for all you pirates out there (you know who you are  )
In your experience who has been:
1) The most consistently anti-pirate over a long period of time:

Look we all know you are nasty ebil pirates but I am sure that sometime somewhere you must have come across an anti-pirate that actually caused you some trouble...
Of course I realise now that it wouldn't look good to admit such a thing in front of your other pirate friends...
But all we need is one to come out... just one

Well so far all we have had is the wannabe pirates oldest complaint about anti-pirates which is
Blobbers
Now I know you pirates want to look good in front of your friends... but surely if you are honest there are some 'anti-pirates' that you have a grudging respect for.
If not then this game has gone further downhill then I expected...

not really mate, its hard for anti pies to do much against pirates, other than cause the death of innocents (but thats another topic). not saying they dont get you from time to time, but nothing on the scale you are thinking of. to get the kind of respect you are talking about they would have to repeatedly be a pain in the a*se, but thats never been the case in my experience. sorry. only danger is the smack talking.
maybe its just ships i choose to pirate in.

Well its hard to respond to this. As im sure it is with anti pirates as there are with us pirates. We tend to be located in one region. Interacting with them who pass our region frequently.
Teddybears have been in syndicate for around 1+ year. And to my knowledge there are no pirate hunters in that region.
But from my experience trough this forums i would say the best anti pirate group is Celestial Apocalypse.
And from our region (syndicate) the old JQA made it damn near impossible to pirate in their clamed space. So we never wentured to them. And the few times we did we lost more then we gaind.

0.0 piracy is different, in empire there dont seem to be the same 'owned space' issues other than concord.

I read that other thread that the Cult of Cthulu guy linked to - seems that the CVA and the Cult get some mentions but not many others... May be there are no real anti-pirates anymore like there was when EVE started...

There is no age. I've seen old players act childish or "n00bish", and new players act experienced.
Well , ive been a pirate for a very long time both emprie and 0.0 and i cant say i feared any anti-pirate group or any group/alliance in the game for that matter.
But most effective and feared where prolly celestial apocolypse, simply because every noob they came accross they just called him pirate or pirate alt/scout and killed him. So they killed alot of "pirates"

It's funny how gankers outside sentry range think they're pirates. You're not pirates. Pirates go into belts and deal face to face with their "client", ransom, and leave holding to their word that if paid, they don't blow the client up.
Gankers sitting outside sentry range are just that. Gankers. You're NOT pirates.

If I could find a miner in a belt in low sec i'd quite happily blow them to hell (non sexual term) but unfortunatly they be to few in numbers!

Since you seem to know the true definition of a pirate, are you also familiar with the methods of our RL pirates of the past? Were they honorable people and not "real pirates" if they sunk your ship after they'd taken your stuff? I've heard a saying along the lines, "dead men tell no tales". Of course in eve it might be the other way around and dead men indeed tell a lot of tales by whining on the forums. ^^

Dude thats mighty funny.. we were prob one of the only corps that actually DIDNT do that.. we only went after folks that pirated.. we still dont shoot ppl who are not -10 to us... Everyone has a NBSI mentally, we dont.
i think iv been shot at or shot EVERY pirate corp in EVE... iv lost count of the ammount of times we have cleared out pirate hotspots..
celes were the only true anti pirate corp, because the boys worked hard to keep that going.
Its not really our fault if fighting pirates over the last year turned into a bore fest of trying to catch sensor boosted up gate gankers, yawn.
