My very modest rig:
AMD XP1800+ (thoroughbred if I'm not mistaken) Asus A7V8X-X mobo 512MB of DDR (133mhz, running at fastest timings though, yay! I had another 512 module in there but it broke after slightly over a year -> no warranty -> don't buy twinmos ram) 2x 40gb IDE hdd (1 xp/1 slackware) 1x usb 40gb hdd Radeon 9800Pro Some Altec Lansing 2.1 speaker set with a LOT of punch
and... Samsung SyncMaster 172T 17" TFT.. the only component I'm proud of :) (sure, they sell 17" tfts for 200 euros, but those are still far from similar quality)
I think it's my CPU that's limiting my EVE frame rates... fear not, upgrades are on the way ... unless I waste all my cash on a guitar again...

Not to be negative, but you do know that while 32-Bit Windows XP/MCE will "support" 4gb of ram, you can only address and use 3.5gb of it? With 4gb you definatly want to go to XP 64-bit or 2003 Server 64-bit.

It's not strictly a fault of the OS, and the OS can't fix it: the problem is that in 32-bit mode you can't use the upper end of the address space, because the bios is using it for video shadowing and ram shadowing and other system tasks. You'll lose anywhere from 256mb to a full gig depending on the BIOS. It's all fun and games until you try to write to that ram, hence XP being smart enough (usually) to "remove" that address space from your usable ram, hence you seeing 3.5gb.
You *might* get around this using the /PAE boot switch in XP, but that's entirely dependent on your hardware.
In 64-bit addressing mode this problem doesn't exist, so hey, no problem.
