CCP has become a Microsoft pawn. As such, it seems unlikely that they will use anything other than Microsoft products and APIs. A shame really, because OpenGL is superior in every way to Direct3D.

E3 presence will bring customers. DirectX 10 will not. Announcing that you intend to focus only on Vista and simply maintain the older client without any new upgrades is not exactly what I would call good PR.
