Hi Community,
I've been back for a month now and am oh so board crushing level 4's in my marauder and want to minimize my chances of losing implants till I can comfortably replace them...so low sec space is sorta out of the question.
My new mission, zerg npc corp standing! What ship would you use to do this? I'm less concerned about loot/rewards and more about just increasing standing through burning up missions.
Thanks!

dont try and do it one ship.
try assault frigate (maybe vengeance?) for 1s and 2s and move up to a t2 cruiser/navy cruiser for 3s and then for 4s try a carrier, jk.
4s I'm pretty sure you can figure it out for yourself. |

Some l1 don't let bigger ships in.
I think your choices are: assault frig, navy frig, pirate frig. Life is short and dinner time is chancy Eat dessert first! |

I'd use an assault ship like the ishkur or an interceptor like the taranis, or a destroyer like the dragoon or algos for low-level missions myself, maybe a coercer if you've got good laser skills and want to avoid spending isk on ammo or drones. After that I'd probably use either a legion or a proteus for L2s through L4s. If you pack enough parts and replacement modules you can kit either out for pretty much every circumstance you'll reasonably come across except for hauling missions.
Edit: For those who aren't me a tengu would also blast through L2s through L4s quite well too. |

Destroyers for lvl 1-2 BC for lvl 3 BS for lvl 4
More specifically, I'd use: Sabre lvl 1-2 Tengu lvl 3 Mach lvl 4 Standings Improvement Service https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=19454 |

destroyers are great for lv1s, I think there might have been a few that were locked to assault frigs. lv 1 npcs are so squishy damage type really doesn't matter.
there are a few lv2s where a destroyer is a little squishy I'd rather just grab a cruiser. Rapid light missile tengu would probably work well, unless there are t3 gate locks.
lv 3: tengu, ishtar, or most battle cruisers. You can trust me, I have a monocole |

Didn't notice any anti-T3 gates when I blitzed through several Gallente corporations with my legion. |

LV1 missions any frig (T1,T2, Faction) with 25 drone bandwidth and with 5x light drones. Or the Algos or Dragoon, but personally I find the time to warp and warp speed to slow you down, though the increase to drone speed is quite nice. I just find that drones kill faster in lv1's due to locking speeds and how easy they die there isn't much point to worry about dps if you sneeze at them they die.
LV 2/3 Tengu if you have it, there is no comparison between that and the other ships available in my opinion. Other options are generally missile or drone boats. Though if you have good skills you can make a Gnossis put out a good amount of DPS to quickly grind up status. Though if your lacking in the SP department I go with a different ship, most of my fits playing around with it in EFT for this purpose were more along the lines of "offense is the best defense" strategy, due to the poor all around resists of the ship it's a bit hard to build a good tank for PVE in it.
LV4, lets just say this discussion has been beaten to death repeatedly for lv4 missions
Strange thing to consider which is quite useful to use when grinding up missions in a OP ship for that LV of mission is to equip a auto targeter, it makes life easier having more locks available (whether it's turned on or off, if you never used it before). And automatically have a full set of locks after the initial set of locks you do. Welcome to Eve. Everyone here is an Evil Sick Sadistic Bastard who is out to get you. Anyone who tells you otherwise is either trying to scam you or use you. |

I had a lot of fun running L3's in active tank retribution and vengeance. Very skill and effort intensive. Not by any means a blitz though. Kind of contradictory if you ask me though. Generally fun is inversely proportional to efficiency for missions. But then again I don't love mission running to start with. |

Lvl 1 & 2 missions can be done in a Corax.
Lvl 3 missions in a Caracal/Drake.
Lvl 4 missions in a RNI.

There are a few level 1 missions where gates are locked to anything larger than frigate.
Level 1-2: Destroyer (just skip those few missions where you can't enter if you can) Level 3: Battlecruiser Level 4: Battleship
Or you could do like some players do when they get bored: Level 1-3: Assault Frigate (Retribution, Vengeance, Harpy, Hawk, Wolf, Ishkur) Level 4: T3
Level 3s are easily doable in Assault Frigate. It's going to be slow but it requires more manual piloting and you'll learn how to actually fly your ship. Oh, and it is FUN. |

I used the Algos with good drone skills to run the Sisters of EVE epic arc as well as many COSMOS missions of level 1 and 2. Also many NPC corp missions level 1, 2 and 3. It cannot do all level 3s, for instance The Blockade L3 can get rough for a destroyer, but it deals enough damage to get through the smaller L3s without having to switch ships.
[Algos, PvE]
Damage Control II Small Armor Repairer II Drone Damage Amplifier II
1MN Afterburner II Drone Navigation Computer II Cap Recharger II
Light Neutron Blaster II, Antimatter Charge S Light Neutron Blaster II, Antimatter Charge S Light Neutron Blaster II, Antimatter Charge S Light Neutron Blaster II, Antimatter Charge S Light Neutron Blaster II, Antimatter Charge S Auto Targeting System I
Small Hybrid Collision Accelerator I Small Hybrid Ambit Extension I Small Auxiliary Nano Pump I
Hobgoblin II x3 Hammerhead II x2 Salvage Drone I x5
It flies with 675 m/s and does 409 DPS (183 DPS from blasters + 226 DPS from drones). You let the drones shred through all the frigates (3x light + 2x medium drone combo) and only lock onto the cruisers and BCs and kill these with the blasters. It is fast, easy and not tedious at all. It is good fun for running lots of little missions.
You can even salvage your missions if you feel like it. The auto targeter will give you +2 to targets and with 9 targets will it almost feel like a Marauder.
For the bigger L3s might you be able to use your Marauder. Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling. |
