I appolgize to those that have been reading my thread in the General forum but this is an attempt to follow through on the advice given there.
We are a small industrial corp with new players who are being griefed by another corp hell bent on snuffing us out of existience. Basically, they have dec'd us unprovoked and I'm looking for some bored Merc corps who can help us out.
I normally dont discuss proper names in public but since the info is already in another thread their corp name is "Finis Lumen". They are a merc corp hired by someone who joined our corp on an alt. Basically the order of events are:
1. Newbie alt guy joins corp 2. Steals our stuff [no biggie there] 3. Threatens us with a war if we dont pay him 50mil isk 4. Paid a Merc corp to dec our corp 5. Merc corp is demanding our surrender or our destruction
If there is anyone out there willing and able to assist please let me know. These guys have successfully griefed other corps out of existience by ganking and pod killing newb miners. I wont go off on the same rant I did earlier today, but if you find this wrong then i invite you to discuss this further.
These guys obviously lack true pvp prowess so they're staying in empire and picking on newb corps to feel big and tough.
We have/are/will launching counter offensives but frankly, we just dont have the experience and numbers yet.
They fly thoraxes and Ravens and run for mommy when there is any indication of an actual threat to their ships.
My Corp is based in Aurcel- Sinq Laison. We have harmed no one and all we really want is for this senseless killing to stop so we can continue with our activities in building our social net of friends.
I can offer a free case of Quafe and perhaps some dairy products or frozen food for your assistance :)
Seriously though, if you are a corp with any sense of justice who feels the urge to vomit at newbs ganking even newer noobs because tehy lack true prowess, this fight is for you.
Thanks in advance.

Your going about this all the wrong way. Getting angry and calling them cowards etc will get you nowhere. Fight smart. Hiring a merc corp yourself is one idea, but your gonna need a lot of isk.

With the growth of new players in EVE, I am surprised that this didn't happen sooner. There is a finite amount of ore in a system and too many people going after it. Sooner or later there is going to be a fight over those Asteroid belts.
The best that I can offer you is to fight back. It is part of EVE and you might find that you have a taste for it...

well if you want to make it slightly harder (and you dont have implants), open up an office on the complete other side of eve, move some equipment there (to mine, etc), and when they come to kill you, dock, pod jump to the new place, and continue on your merry way =) You can also try merging with a more pvp oriented corp who needs a group of miners -- that's my advice to you.
Goodluck!

This is part of eve. Your options are to hire mercs for a reasonable amout of cash (maybe 100mil+), merge with a more pvp centered corp like Illminatis said, pay them, fightback, or Disband.
I think its kind of silly these mining corps are coming to the forums and yelling 'omg a merc corp decd us, we're only noobs that mine, please help us for free'

Spend 100mil on frigates and swarm the guys who come after you. It'd be more fun. ------------------------------------
Quote: 1 Billion isk currently sells on ebay for about $225 90 day GTC $38.95 Currently selling for 300mill
Therefore 1Bill isk costs you $129.50.

With respecct, I am aware of my options---what I'm really interested in is MERC CORPS with some real skill that are interesed in taking out a bunch of gankers.
Thanks for all the advice on making address books, shadow corps and all the rest---it truly is of value and im not being sarcastic ...but what I really want is some heads on a pole. The only thing i can't offer is a lot of money.
I appeal to those corps with any sense of justice for the newbie to consider taking up our cause. 1000 of you may post here and say good luck, but I know there are some corps out there that see these actions as simply wrong and grief tactics.
If you enjoy a decent game of good guy vs bad guy come be the good guy and lets talk about some mining contracts after the war settles. I'm sure we could probably help you out.
I can give names and locations and times and ship specifications and a basic overview of their abilties.

You're going about it the wrong way.
Take your merc money and buy some frigates, throw some t1 mods on em, assign em to 3 people to watch your mining op. Enemy shows up, at the very least they have to deal with 3 frigates, even if you lose the frigates its no big financial loss, and you just gave the mining party time to bug out.
Make some tactical instas in the same sector, for gate to gate and gate to base and base to asteroid.

Edited by: Istvaan Shogaatsu on 30/11/2005 04:54:03 It should be noted that if they're asking for money, they're probably not mercs. It's common practice for extortionists to claim to be mercenaries and demand money to stop a war.
Switch to cheap ships like Blackbirds or Griffins loaded with electronic warfare and warp disruptors. Be a total pain in the ass to fight, give them no satisfying kills, choke their ships up with massed sensor damps, and pretty soon those supposed "mercs" will lose the will to fight a war they're not getting any money out of.

Well, I have trundled down to Rekindle's home system to see for myself.
Maybe I'll buy a few ships, gang up with their pilots, and bag me some kills.
Then again, maybe Finis Lumen would like to re-consider their contract?

This is from from another post of yours...
Originally by: Rekindle Calling all small corps....consider merging to NAMA corp in Sinq.
New Artisian and Mercenary Association Sinq Laison region - CEO Rekindle
Simple words: The whole is greater then the sum of its parts. NAMA corp is a corporation based in Eastern time zone (Canada, to be exact) and we have been successfully and actively recruiting now for a couple weeks. NAMA's vision is multifacted with hooks into all the major areas of the EVE experience. We are interested in PvP players, Miners and Industrialists, and those that are interested in the PvE aspect.
We have plans drawn up to offer regularly scheduled events that match your playstyle including complex runs, mining ops and PvP nights. The holidays are coming up so at this time we are focusing on recruitment.
If you're the CEO of an organization looking to grow your small corp (or if you're looking for a corp) consider avoiding duplication of effort if your vision/schedule matches ours. CEO's who match our criteria may receive officership in NAMA, pending, of course, security clearance and the building of trust relationships.
We currently have some very skillful resources who have maxxed out their industrial skills. We have individuals who have a lot of experience on the PvE-missions side of things and we're working on our PvP contigient. We have acquired a number of blue prints and are in the early stages of R&D whilst actively increasing our mining capacity.
I invite the CEO's of corporations who would be interested in working in the Sinq Laison region to visit our corporate website and have a peak. We are still small, but I can demonstrate consistient growth in the organization.
NAMA corp does not start wars, we are non aggressive. We do not shed first blood, but we are quite capable of defending ourselves in the event an real agressor shows up.
We invite you to consider the time that can be saved in the recruitment and leadership processes should your objectives match ours.
Please visit our site or convo/eve-mail Rekindle for additonal details on our mandate. Come read our plan and see that we mean business.
Sounds like you should change your recruitment pitch.
I doubt the events transpired as you say, first off a newb character wouldn't have the money to hire a merc corp., check your enemies or who might want you out of the Sinq region.
I hate it when people post "Oh help me, I'm being terrorized unjustly" maybe it's just a form of corporate sabotage.

Unfortunately you will have to pay a merc corp. no one works for free. But if you decide to hire one you will be amazed how quickly the tables turn and the griefers become the ones hiding in stations or losing ships left and right then the corp will usually disband.
You need to be real careful when you start a corp, if you dont have PvP experienced players and you take on any new player you are going to have this problem all the time(alt spys etc..). Limit your hiring process to a player with a minimum of 3 million skillpoints and dont give anyone hangar access, if they need something trade it to them or put it in escrow for them.

Edited by: Adia Celeris on 30/11/2005 22:33:44 Actually lets set a few things straight...Shall we?
We were hired for this contract, we don't sit around griefing all day for giggles, I have better things to do. Though I do find it funny that you have gone to forums instead of contacting me in-game for the terms of surrender--something most other corporations we have fought do, and as I do when we are beaten.

You where hired, they hire. And thus the killing continues. Convo ingame or hire someone on this board, its all the same isnt it? I mean someone approached you guys in game or maybe here, but you can be sure they got your merc corp name off these forums to hire you.

Sad that some people just don't know when they are beaten isn't it?
What you are really surprised at is that this corp didn't roll over and cough up like the other industrial corps your have decc'ed in the past have done. These guys have tried to fight back and have even dared to go out and hired a proper merc corp...
Welcome to Eve....
Personally I don't think you are a merc corp at all... just that you run a Mafia style protection racket.
If the rumours are correct and KIA does pick up this contract you will learn all about what a genuine Merc Corp does for a living... relentlessly.

Rekindle has yet to make contact, but none the less, the KIA wheels are in full motion. Intel is gathered, and logistics is mobilised.
Finis Lumen WILL undec this mining corp, with immediate effect, or we will show you what it is to be a real Merc Corp. You sirs, are a disgrace to our profession, and nothing but hustelrs and conmen, guising under the honour of hired professionals. The fee for this extension of our idealistic beliefs, is 0 isk, but the passion and ferocity we approach it, will be as if it was for every isk in Eve.
You have just over 37 hours, then we will agent search every one of you, 24hrs a day, 7 days a week, you will see nothing but the inside of a station if your lucky, or a 1 way ticket on the clone express if we catch you outside of one.
You have been warned, we await your next action.
Merry christmas one and all.
