Apologies for all the text but it will save us both time if you actually read it.
Me
* 119mil. SP character. * UK player. Play time tends to be between 20:00-01:00 GMT/EVE. * 35 years old. Casual player. * Average PvP skills. Not too great, not too terrible. * Can fly most subcaps of all races to a good level. * Fwiw I can fly Gallente Carrier, Dreadnought, Freighter, Jump Freighter but aren't really interested in flying them at the moment. * Self-sufficient.
Looking for
* UK (& Irish) corp. - I want to be part of a community that plays at the same hours, shares the same culture and can actually understand all the different regional accents on comms! The odd Euro buddy is fine but keeping a strong UK recruitment policy and leadership is pretty key for me. Don't confuse this with xenophobia, if you're a UK corp because you have issues with other nationalities then I'm not interested one bit.
* Coordinated Small Gang PvP. - Solo PvP, ad-hoc camps and pitchfork fleets are great for filling in the gaps but what I'm really interested in are groups that like to theorycraft and organise gang compositions and tactics. I'm just as happy flying Logistics or Ewar as I am flying DPS or tank ships and I'd like to be with gamers who feel the same. Seeing what we can achieve as a group is far more interesting than who is top killer on the killboard.
* Neutral Politics, Neutral Morality. - I've done the big-blue-blob thing and not in a rush to go back there. I'd like to be part of a group that accepts what it has and plans accordingly rather than using blue standings to prop itself up. With regards to morality, if it's legal in game and it makes us isk or gets us good fights then I'm up for it.
Nomadic 'try-anything' Mentality. - I don't want to be pigeon-holed into living in a certain place or doing a certain type of op. I don't have a problem with having a 'home' as such, aslong as it doesn't limit what we can do as a group. EVE is one huge sandbox. There is faction warfare, mercenary work, low sec, null sec, wormholes. My ideal corp would see all those things as potential content providers and not be afraid to move around the map and try new things.
No Ego's, No Elitism. - I want to be a part of a group that is always trying to get better at PvP, always trying to be more effective and is well organised. That doesn't mean I want anything to do with gaming elitism. Don't want FC's who rant on comms or leaders with delusions of grandeur. I don't want to hear bitching and crying just because we lost a fight, you just learn from it and move on. New players should be welcome .
Mature Community. - No fratboy or meme-based culture. Seriously, I'm too old to want to listen to attention seeking nonsense on comms. This may shock you but I really don't want to listen to how drunk/stoned you are at any given time, I'd much rather talk about the game. Banter is good, non family-friendly comms are fine. If guys/girls want to put their feet up at the end of the day and just have a laugh, even better. However, if you can't converse with your corp mates without using the words 'fail', 'autism' or some racial slur because that's what the cool kids are saying on Kugutsumen.com then please save me the time of leaving your terrible corp by not asking me to join in the first place.
Community Tools. - Voice comms. Forums. Killboards. The basics to keep a PvP community ticking over. I don't mind if you're a new corp and don't have these assets in place just yet, aslong as you see the worth in them and plan to put them in place.
Not Looking For
* Role-play Corps.
* Sov. Holding Corps.
* Large Corps.
* PvE Corps. - This includes corps who claim to be 'PvP' based on the fact that they organise a roam 1-2 times a week. I'm looking for a group of players who want to PvP most of the time they're logged on and only farm isk when they have to or maybe organise incursion/PvE nights to help people fill their wallets.

Thanks for the replies so far.
If I don't get back to you personally then assume that it's not what I'm looking for. Most of the unsuitable ones are fine looking outfits, just not UK specific as requested.
Francine, I've had a good look at your recruitment post a few times over the past weeks and it is very close to what I'm looking for, just a couple of key areas that don't appeal to me. Looks like you guys should do well though so all the best. |
