Freighter ganks have become common place here in EVE cause of the squishy nature of the no low slots to tank or fit for cargo options.
Guess if it could be cheap enough drop like 1000 small containers in space this way it makes it harder for BS to "line up" to bump because the same mechanism would be at work here, the bump mechanic.
With 1000 containers jettisoned to be atleast 2500 km from freighter giving them a chance to align, but alas this would be a banning offense as it would create lag maybe....who knows, this ideal sounds like it could work but I'm placing this one in the probably not good box  |

Dude, create 400km+ direct from undock bookmarks from your frequent hubs, that way when you undock you can insta-warp to them without anyone being able to target you. Make pings above gates you frequent at least 175+ so you can warp in and see whats above the gate, then warp down and jump, or warp to zero. Carry a T2 cloak and an MWD and do this. Scout your routes ahead of time, awareness is key. |

Yes on the undock bookmarks.
Everything else really doesn't apply to freighters (we know they have multiple slots for the T2 cloak & MWD).
Also, we all know that people never change the gates they're on, so scouting your route in advance will always let you know who is there and how many ....

There's an easy amount of fixes player made very effective:
->escort or suicide escort
->let someone transport expensive and huge amounts of goods for you, you take no risk and can still trip with a full cargo of trit
->don't transport more than 1B isk value at each trip
->limit the chances of getting gank by choosing better routes, longer but also safer
Stop posting on GD about this because you can triple the amount of EHP of a freighter tomorrow it will only require more ships to gank it, not make it gank immune.
CCP can't fix silly players.

Read the OP, not a good idea, infact, bannable offense if I recall (or is that just shuttles?). Everything applies. Old intel is better than no intel, especially once you start learning who you need to avoid, they should be a -5 -10 contact and on a watchlist. You'll know when they're on and you'll get an idea of where they hunt. And that's also why I told you to make 175+ pings off all the gates you frequent. This is standard practice in null and I don't see why anyone carrying expensive cargo wouldn't want to take a peek at who is sitting at 0 on a gate before landing on it. |

Stick to giving advice about ships you've got experience with, or at least go stay at a Holiday Inn Express for a few nights.
A lot of your advice was generally good, but very little of it applies to piloting freighters.
