Greetings,
CCP is conducting a Test Tournament for our new Alliance Tournament Tools this Saturday. We have room for 8 teams to participate in a full double elimination tournament and want to know who would like to take part.
Important Info:
- All of the results of the matches and setups brought will be public, we are testing some new publishing tools and this will be part of the test
- We would appreciate people bringing full teams that comply to the regular rules. You don't have to bring your best, just something that complies with the rules
- The first 8 team captains to EVE Mail me promising their teams participation will get the spots
- This could take a bit of time, an 8 man double elim tournament has a lot of matches
We really appreciate anyone willing to help us, these tests will go a long way to smoothing out potential problems in the real tournament.

The tournament will run from around 1930 UTC to 0100 UTC the same night. If the tournament starts taking too long, we reserve the right to speed up the time of the universe :P

Yes, ship bans are part of the toolkit being tested.
I will do what I can to have this be done on Duality. At the speed things are advancing I'd say it's likely I'll succeed.

I will be eve mailing all the captains as well as making a post in here tomorrow morning.
Also, the event will not be streamed. This is purely a test of the tournament tools, streaming the event takes a lot more equipment and volunteers to operate.

If we only get 7 teams, we'll just have a bye in one of the opening match sets.

That's quite disappointing, I was looking forward to spend Saturday night watching my favourite e-sport. We might be able to allow some people to kind of follow the matches live through special *thing* we are doing for this years tournament. I have to clear it with CCP Veritas first though, lest he cut me with a prison shiv.

Big thanks to everyone who volunteered their time to help test everything, I hope you all had fun.
We ended it after the winners bracket finals, with HYDRA heading to the finals and HUN and Exodus. about to meet in the last match of the losers bracket. Congrats to everyone involved.

People were free to stream the matches themselves, however we did not record the video directly.
We will however have full write-ups of most of the matches (those that didn't blow up our code) exposed relatively soon depending on CCP Veritas's progress with some special stuff coming in AT XI.

Yeah there's a tournament website in the works. Remains to be seen how much of the CREST data will be shown there.
