Well, technically, those are the same dessicant packets they put in dried foodstuffs, such as jerky and dried fruit. Manufacturers are concerned that people might thing it is part of the foodstuff, and eat it, and since many plants produce dessicant packages for multiple purposes, they find it is simply cheaper to print the warning label on everything, than it is to shut down the machine, reset it to not print the warning, print out a warningless batch, and then go through the trouble of making sure the blank packets don't get shipped to food manufacturers by mistake.
It is economies of scale, really.

Yeah, I heard of a woman who sued McDonalds because she had a too hot gherkin in her hamburger and she won too

Coffee was the first lawsuit...which they won.
Then another sued for the pickle in their burger burning them...sadly they won that one also
