I'd like to start a welcome page for CCPs newest employee!
You're going to have to do A LOT to prove yourself to the community!
I feel sorry for you and your thread when you introduce yourself.
.....but remember, if you f*ck with EVE, even the slightest, we have no issue burning the place down. (again)
I'm currently taking bets on the following:
- CCP Games becomes EA Games' property.
- EVE Online will have Microtranctions everywhere. |

In fact, I am certain Mr. Decker hired CCP for extensive behaviour therapy and rehabilitation after an abusive, addictive and life destroying relationship with his former employers.

This is what happens when a game attracts the worst in gaming all to hunker down on the front lawn. They bring gas and matches, too.
It just amazes me why people play a game and enjoy literally burning it down for fun...even pay to do so (well, maybe not...).

I think it's just a tad unfair to tar him with the same brush just because he comes from THAT PLACE.
I doubt somehow he would have been hired had his superior felt he would be bad for the game/community. |

MMO 2.0 will be here in a couple of years (3 to 4). CCP has to prepare for the future. Not just with EvE, they'll be needing to make EvE 2.0.

I get where you're coming from. I'm a bit nervous too and yeah, there have been questionable decisions or thought processes by the higher ups BUT, we must give him the benefit of the doubt before we chastise him or the decision to bring him on.
If he fudges things up, then yeah, **** is gonna go down.
If all is well, then good, happy days.
But there's nothing we can do about the decision right now so I'll ride it out and see what happens. |

I don't get what the massive change is going to be that CCP wouldn't be ready for?? EVE is already pretty revolutionary (well, was, although I still think so)

This game needs you so badly and unfortunately a huge chunk of it's player base doesn't realize just how badly change is needed if this game is ever going to have the finances it needs to bring itself out of the dark ages of game play and up to current gaming standards.

It really depends on what past/forward lookers envision. What parts need to be changes and which ones make Eve unique and need to be left alone? Turning EO into WoW in space would (IMO) kill the game. |
