Well, this is my first video. I don't have awsome special effects or an uber storyline. Just lots of footage of a Taranis making new *******s all over Eve.
My first video!
I'll explain the fights here so you aren't lost.
Fight 1: He was armor tanked with a 800mm plate and medium acco. Very close fight.
Fight 2: I find a FIX Crow and Coramont in one of my first trips into their space.
Fight 3: FIX cruiser, for some reason she engaged me with like 20% armor.
Fight 4: For some reason the music cuts out in this even though in windows movie maker there was music playing... Sorry :( Anyways, FIX crusader chases me for 2 jumps, with him away from his friends I engage.
Fight 5: Large barge warps to a station I'm sitting at. Weee!
Fight 6: Daredevil sitting alone on a gate after I killed the crusader a fight back. Sensing a trap but unable to resist a faction frigate kill I engage!
Fights 7, 8, and 9: All of these happened within the space of 5 minutes or so. Mark 5 uncloaks and I'm excited so I forget to FRAPs the start. He had about 8k prometium and 8k lquid ozone (Blew up what I couldn't take) Then a FIX celestis jumps in and engages me. Finally a claw comes and kills me shortly after the celestis.

Some really nice fights (nice timing on the warp out before the cruises from the manticoure hit :D) along with a couple of fairly dull ones (neither exeq nor barge aggressed back by looks of things ¼_¼). Good first vid overall \o/

Hmmm, The fights were nice but i'd tweak that setup.
+ MWDing in a battle? That's because of you have a ****ty web.

x3 Light electron IIs Small nos
MWD, Scrambler, langour web
x2 MPAC and a 400mm rolled tungesten plate
What should I orbit frigs/cruisers at?
Also, I probably should have run after the Clestis died but I was interested to see what they would throw at me next. Also, I've killed other plated ceptors before and if I hadn't had been at 50% or so armor the claw would have died.

That's odd. And oh, Your movie says Stasis webifier I.
500m for cruisers, your guns shouldn't even miss.
Invest in a good web, x5 or better if you're going to use a taranis with electrons, the range is bad, so if you need to mwd to get back in range... Kinda takes more hits in your armor, which isn't repaired at all.

Don't get me wrong, the movie was top notch for your first, reminds me of kaeten taranis movies.
If you had orbitted the celestis he wouldn't have got you down to 50% armor. He was using dual 150mm if i saw correctly.

Kil, why you advice on electrons when you use 125's yourself?
But fitting a plate or a rep choice I think you should be more focused on how much you want to spend on a good web. Optimise, dropp the plate and fit a rep. And get the greatest dps you can. Greater speed on your oponent will lead you to deside optimal. But I find this a waste really. This only counts in solo hunt anyway. Personally I'm not quite there yet for the solo bit. If your support to gang. Scrap it all. Your guns won't do much anyway. Just make sure you can stay alive long enough.

Funniest of all, you don't orbit when you attack something, but you do it when you try to pod them. That's kinda dumb.
I'd be curious to know your setup because all in all, that looks pretty much like a plated, t1 crapness taranis.
Things to take in, Covetor could wipe your ass with heavy drones, Celestis could woop you with medium.
At the end, someone who knows how to plate his setup kicked your ass, And oh you had full cap for lovely repair but no, you didn't have one fitted.
Being honest, I have to admit you did good killing idiots in FIX since alot of them lack skills...
good movie Anyway, Invest a bit more in your taranis setup and you might kill faster, better and survive to other plated ceptors.
To be nice and not to flame to much :P
Killrock EVERY vid you always say someones setup sucks, ie my vagga sucks when its a freakin stabber yet on multiple occasions ppl have shown you are wrong on multiple facts with stuff

*So he uses a cheap setup? whoopie do he seems like a ballsy pilot that dont wanna loose more on fitting then the ship costs
*So the small nos dosnt feed HIS rep, it kill other inties cap who rep/MWD
*The claw killing him at the end, well lets but it simple autos= WAY better falloff(= range) then blasters its FASTER so can stay at range easier and the ranis is also less agile then a claw only slightly
*Coverter will wipe his arse with heavy drone: heavy drones will *****any ranis thats plated and orbits at 500m because its so slow

Nice one m8 some good fights ya had there, although the music wasnt really my taste, but i havent seen a vid yet with the music i prefer.

Very nice footage, and good quality. I have to agree with the music critic, though - although I love retrogame music, I find the OCRemixes are rarely any good. Plus you had a pause in between the two songs, and nothing playing at the end which was bad. But still, very good for a first movie.

Some very good footage there, and the music wasn't that bad either, I kinda liked it :)
As someone else said, would have been better without that music pause..

I used to use that setup before I remembered that speed is king :)
It's good for killing low skilled pilots though.

Actually, first quote was meant to be 'stopping orbiting a cruiser, staying still infront of it'.
Like he just did approach and stood there, taking hits from cruiser guns... when he could have orbitted

If you go back and watch the film you will notice that the cruisers guns aren't hitting him, it's only the bloodclaw light missles that were, so perhaps not such a silly move after all.
In addition to that, neither ships launched drones, why why bother hitting the orbit @ 500? Seems like a waste to me...
Anyway, putting KilROCK's rather odd feedback to one side; video was OK, you really should have fixed the music in that one section before release. Some OK action, but a few of those kills we're n00bs and you know it.

I enjoyed the vid. Definitely some ballsy stuff in there to go with the ganks and the just plain fun fights you had .
I don't know if I liked the music. But I didn't hate it so that's good enough for me .

I really enjoyed it. I look forward to seeing more Taranis action in your second video, but it would be better if the targets were less FIX, more Finite Horizon.

hey dude... if i ever saw u wouldn't matter if u had 1600mm rolled tungsten I would approach the double click behind me once u got me webbed and stay at about 5km and pound the **** out of in my crow cause i know a blaster ranis aint gonna hit me unless he got dual webs... try a rail setup or if u are going with 400mm plate try dual webs
