Edited by: Madison IV on 03/12/2005 18:17:16 I read in a previous thread that there were some sort of Global Keys for Winamp that allowed you to Control Winamp from inside EVE Online...
is this true, and if so, how do I go about setting these up so I can use them?
or maybe is there a add-on of some kind that lets me access my Winamp Playlist ingame?

Open winamp, then go to preferences (CTRL+P), under general preferences is Global Hotkeys, click Enabled. The default key to switch up and down is ctrl+alt+page down and ctrl+alt+page up. If you cant find "Global hotkeys" you will need to reinstall winamp and choose to install the Global Hotkeys. |

Yup, exactly what Icomis said. Ctrl+Alt+Page up and Page down is perfect.
I havent tried it while running eve but Ctrl+Alt+J brings up a box which u can use to select songs manually. Dont know how it will interfere with eve.

Edited by: Madison IV on 03/12/2005 18:36:24 very cool. thanks for all the help.
incidentally, after I typed this post, i accidentally figured out how to get the Music buttons on my Keyboard to work with Winamp hehe.
so I got play, pause, next, previous, volume, and such on my keyboard.
I'm gonna try out ctrl-alt-j, to see how it interfaces with the game.
but how do I disable the Game Music?

ctrl-alt-J minimizes the game, then opens up a song list. which isn't want I wanted. :(
I want a way to open up a playlist, without minimizing the game.

Damnit! Macro-Music users! Can change to a different track for a fight without leaving eve.
*petitions*
(just kidding)

I've only figured out two ways so far:
-Turn down EVE's master volume to 0. (obviously, this turns off all sound)
-Open EVE's jukebox and hit the 'stop' button. Music will start again whenever you jump into a deadspace.

Bad advice, the F12 combo disables all sounds, not just music __________________ Retard's handbook |

To not have to edit anything & disable just the sound on the in-game jukebox.
Click on the jukebox icon on the left
Slide its volume control down to 0
close box.
There you go, it may start playing again next time you start eve but the volume is always at 0 so does not acutally play any sound.
