TEST dodged a bullet pure and simple, TEST and even PL, admit to that. PL, and N3 are breathing a sigh of relief that they didn't have to slog back in there to pull TESTs fat out of the fire yet again because TEST was being well TEST, but also a little miffed about the fight suddenly being CCPed.

Nobody is arguing about the fact that they dodged the bullet (alright, some can, but let's leave them in a special corner); it's the issue that when the server went belly up for TEST and others before, it was to the advantage of the Goons. Now that it has given TEST a slight advantage of not losing a ******* huge amount of caps, Goonswarm and others immediately cry that this is worse than the t20 scandal. Mistakes were made, nothing can be done, and what matters is the present and the future of this war in question, not the perceived wrongdoing by CCP "intentionally" killing the node to save TEST caps.

Well think of it this way: Your team is playing a match, it is an epic match, they are about to score a goal that will decide the tournament basically, it is in the air, and suddenly the lights go out, the entire arena is pitch black. When the lights come back on the refs restart the match all over again. The goalie might have caught it, he might not have, but nobody will know because somebody fatfingered the lightswitch. How would that make you feel?

We are not mad we are upset that some fatfingered flunkie flipped the switch on a truly epic fight, and want CCP to put something in place (policy or procedure) so that it doesn't happen again.

You sound like you're getting upset, so I'll try not to fan the flames anymore. My advice to you is, find out where these "prepubescent" memes (as you call them) are coming from, so you don't end up looking like a fool yourself. Or you could continue stumbling over your own rocks. That's more entertaining anyway .

It was a good article but a missed opportunity. I am glad to see that they know it was a mistake and not a conspiracy.

However, It was a huge missed opportunity to say how screwed up it is to call for someones real life job over a video game. And again I call upon all the leaders of the CFC to step up and say the right thing.

To be perfectly honest, pretty mad, but I've had that happen to me before so it was a rather rage inducing thing. However, the issue is that when the server going pear shaped has positively affected the CFC and smashed Test in the mouth, Test didn't take to the forums immediately and spawn a thirty page threadnaught of proportions while people inside of it screamed like gibbons how it was clearly a dev conspiracy to help Test (granted, Test may have done this on their internal forums, but seeing as I am not a member of Test on any chars and only have some few friends, I can't verify that), the central point is how the CFC reacted to that.

Yeah, it sucks; that's been established. However, for the people in that thread to call for his dismissal on the grounds "Oh god, he absolutely ruined our fight, he should be fired because we couldn't slaughter a cap fleet wholesale and there will never be an opportunity like that again" are looking at with very shortsightedness. If he was a repeat offender, sure, I could see CCP firing the guy because he's done half a dozen or more screwups in critical areas in a short span and hasn't learned. But if the dev in question did this in the dark and lonely Icelandic hours and accidentally hit the wrong key, it's an accident. Many mistakes have been made, but making him a figurehead for the failure of the CFC to kill the caps is not a great idea.

At least that is my honest opinion about it.
