Just out of curiosity I dont suppose these systems are actually on the server, I know Jove used to be because of the ol' set a Jove station as a clone point trick. If they are, I spose they wont actually use any power to generate or show or whatever, will they? _______________________________________________________

These systems obviously do exsist, but because no-one is ever in them they never load onto the server, however as soon as someone goes into one of those systems it will load.
Shame there is no way to get there really, though there is probably nothing there :/

I've heard that GMs transport suspected macro miners there to see how they react (i.e. if they don't, they're presumed to be macroing).
Maybe the guilty ships get blown up and podded?

My guess is the area is a failsafe valve the devs incorperated so that they had a bunch of stars they could quickly and without a major patch connect to the rest of the universe if the number of players rose alot faster than they predicted.
It is probably also a carrot so that we have something inaccessable, a question mark an unknown area with unknown riches that we can only drool over.
In short a place everyone wants to go to but noone can get to.
In all probability I expect CCP will connect this space when they are good and ready to, its probably going to host somthing as unimaginable as renegade Jove NPC rats, a few complexes, a smidge of POI's and the normal smattering of planets, moons A-belts and stars.
My personal favorite however would be if they connected that area mainly to highsec empire systems, flooded it with a new pirate faction and made it into a second separate 0.0 area.

I believe someone managed to get there once. The GM's gave him a slap and teleported him back.
Quite a few people made it into Jove space, of course :)

From what I was told its an expansion coming later. New race, ships etc. Although the GM warping macro'ers is probably true.
If it is anything like UO though if you can get there it will be full of evil evil stuff. In UO there was a huge empty space on the map that the GMs used for testing. Occasionally players found how to sneak in so they used to make super traps/super monsters roaming the area to kill the nosey people.

i believe its for when the titans can actually form jump portals (which they will be able to now i believe) its new space to be taken over so it'll be very interesting to see what happens after RMR hits TQ and major alliances start getting Titans... who'll be the first to explore and get JovOwned? It'll be great to see some alliance loose a titan. Ahh i can't wait. The poor *beep*. He He

I think its the Dev's little playground, they have they're own area of space and play the game in there spare time. Oveur ganks and podkills the the other devs now and then, thats why the occasional podkill shows up there .....

So there I was, mining a few hundred thousand cubic metres of Veld in Jita when BOOM. Suddenly the belt is gone along with a few hundred thousand ISK of drones and an hour's worth of mining in my can. I start cursing the kids in their souped-up battleships bumping hardworking miners around, as you do. Then the ship tells me that it was actually a freak wormhole that has sent my ship into deepest darkest unknown space. So, naturally, I head for the nearest belt. Arkonor 'roids as big as motherships as far as the sensors could see. All mine. More of the purest Arkonor than I've ever dreamed of and I dream big. Then - BOOM. I'm floating off a station in Jita and a ..., a ..., a kind Jovian is telling me that he's 'rescued' me and it's all okay now. I didn't even finish a single cycle before that ..., that Jovian decided to send me back to a life of endless Veldspar.

I remember those testing spots well in UO Saw some of the new evil stuff then I guess a GM spotted me. I was sent to the Cell of DOOM with the one Moongate in it to contemplate my sins
