Edited by: Shikome Alluin on 13/08/2003 20:39:02 Best PvP corporation, who are they ??
Well I thought it funny if we could all have a "poll" who the best of the best are RULE!! You CANNOT vote for your own corp!! (none of that "I prWn ur ass biaaaaaatch" sillyness!) Well, to simplify the term PvP and this "crowning": Who is the corp that you (noob/miner/fighter/pirate/megacorp) get butterflys when engaging, who makes you say "crap, hope I get through this alive, these guys are bad ass"
If this goes well, and response is serius, I will make a "badge of PvP honour" The corp can stick in its signature, then we could have a new poll every month Since I started it, I wont vote.
Gentelmen, start your moduals :P

Yes most probably its one of the well known pirate corps but how do you sort out wich of their kills are PvP and not PK?

Heh, there's no disctinction between the two .
I'd say m0o/SIN for having the most kills.

For those that we have fought against - it has to be RUS for me. They are clever, brave and cunning. They use tactics very well - though this can be frustrating, and can lead to some of the ribbing they get.
They have a good sence of humor, and I like and respect them a lot - though I wish they would learn to count.

Edited by: Acab on 13/08/2003 15:34:12 Afaik M0o and SIN gank up (not to mention exploit every single byte out of the EVE core code...).
RUS is more clever.
I'm just saying that from earsay, but this would also mean something no?=)
My 2 isks
P.S: Of course the above statements may hold true if you define pvp as "dueling" against an equvalent foe. Taking on a way weaker foe is not good PvP... it's just bug crushing.

The best pvp corps seem to be the ones who can afford to lose battleships the way most of us can afford to lose frigates. For these corps, losing a battleship is just an inconvenience, not a big event like it is with the majority of corps in EVE. With the knowlege of getting your ship and equipment replaced in no time, you are bound to be more cunning and determined in battle.

Not well known, because they arent a mega corp, but not many have the balls to take on blockades in frigates and win. _______________________________________________

Well, I don't want to say moo because their blockades are just so easy to bust. Though they have certainly made a name for themselves which in reality is what a pirate strives to do.
So I guess moo.

If you want to crown the best PvP corp you have to define the parameters better.
And to the person that stated PvP and PK are the same, nothing is furher from the truth.
One is achallenge to pull off, the other is slaughter and if you cant see the difference between them then you are not part of the best PvP corp in the game.
As far as choosing goes, I have seen very few pirates in action, most of the ones I have seen have failed to kill me as I am a cautious player. The two that have killed me have happened to find me in rather aquard positions.

Probably m0o corp given their efficiency with a limited player base and survivability. Russ corp given their large numbers and ability to organize them into an orderly battle unit.
Tons of excellent lesser known pvp corps out their though. But these are my two "popular" choices and they simply pvp all the time.

How can you meassure this in corpses? To be podkilled you have to CTD, otherwise there is lot of time to warp away in your pod.
Yea, RUS are great at PvP. It's really fun to fight them. However, I don't agree with that post about numbers from The Wretch. It's always the same RUS members we fight, and they are seldom more than 5 or 6.

Surgical strike? I did more damage in my cruiser back then compared to my battleship today. The difference is that an armageddon has got double the lowslots (compared to a Moa), in which you probably didn't use BASIC gyros like I did...

yeah i swear they must be playing at the same giant network or internet cafe.. (internet at home is not as common in russia)
so they probably shout things like
"launched my paradise missles, go!" "ok, devastators are off, lets attack <insert name here> now.. orbit at 1km and ecm the other dude"

MY vote would be RUS.
I've fought with M0o and that was back in the day of gun bugs where you could hit someone for like 650 in a cruiser. That's an exploit so is kinda junk.
Though I figure now they'll go over board with pride, but space invaders can be clever at times. But I find them to easy to escape, and they rely to heavily on the rest of Venal to help em.
RUS, of the three times I've met em they've frankly scared the crap outta me. That's cause they are organized and unpredicatable. I would be edgy around a RUS hualer, those guys are so clever. So hats off to these guys for being the ones that make you go "! crap RUS is here"
