I would be surprised if the patch is released before xmas (and I would be scared too, I cannot phantom them being able to balance all the ships and stabilize all the new stuff in such a short time).

The new ships aren't available for testing until the patch goes live for some reason. :P
The other changes, such as drones, invulnerability fields, and the like, are available for testing now. The latest patch seems to have ironed out a couple of the larger issues, such as nos not working beyond the first cycle unless manually activated and not having an animation besides (nos code had to be changed to make them effective against npcs, IIRC).
Dunno about the 13th, but with the stuff I've been testing it actually doesn't sound too disturbingly unlikely. -Wrayeth

Yes, we all hope they won't phantom and make the patch disappear ... ________________________________________________

I disagree. today's tomorrow tomorrow will be today, and tomorrow's tomorrow will be tomorrow, while today will be yesterday.

Tomorrow Never Dies (as far as rumors are concerned). Patch Notes have yet to be finished, but they should be posted later this week. It has been quite some time since the last patch, so there were a large number of items in the change log to go through, categorize and tag.
If you've seen the RMR features page, you know this is going to be big. We are certainly not going to spring a surprise patch on anyone, especially something of this magnitude.
Kieron, I would like to thank you for repsonding to this thread. But could you clarify something for me please?
You said "Patch Notes have yet to be finished, but they should be posted later this week" but does this mean that you expect the patch to be deployed on December 12th OR are you giving us 1+ week notice on the patch details so that we can prepare for a December 19th patch date?
I only ask this because ther are some pre-patch preparatory activities I would like to plan for.
Thanks in advance for your response :)

Oveur was commenting that they hope to get RMR out before Christmass, so they can all spend the holliday's playing Eve.

Oveur in a breif visit to check node stability in AZN said that the patch release date was slated for the 13th of December, and if not by then, January.

"TBH id hate to be the first person that gets a titan... you'll prolly end up being a guinea pig working out all the bugs in it......"
Can see the forthcoming patch notes...
* fixed a bug when ejecting from titan activates self-destruction timer.

followed by the standard GM reply of... "our logs show nothing of the sort happened... obviously you pressed the self destruct button"

Titans better not have a damn self destruct button in the first place.
And if they do it better damn well make the entire region uninhabitable.
*snip* That's not very appropriate. - Teblin |

Without reading the full thread - CCP generally gives a few days warning for people to set longer skill training. After expansion the **** usually hits the fan. Heed my warning and traing BS lvl5.

Assuming that CCP always patch on Tuesdays, I'd say that the 13th is the last date that they'll want to do it on before Christmas.
Patching on the 20th will not leave enough time to sort out the inevitable problems and still get drunk before Christmas.

There is very few minor bugs and I cant see any major ones apart from the bug that lockups the client now and again when warping into someone with alot of entities.
In my opinion they should release it in a week even if its still got some bugs in it, some unforseen issues are bound to happen and a fix patch is made in a week or two, any additional fixes can also be included rather than delaying the patch further.
As for balancing titans and so forth than can literally be left for a month as it takes longer than that to build them. |

Take your stoopid rumours elsewhere. The RMR was released to the test server not long ago, and you actually belive its released tomorrow
