I'm happy with the new stories. There's a lot of stuff that goes on that I miss and the news gives a good look into that. So long as the reporter does a good job of 'reporting' and the format of the story doesn't look like it was written by a fourth grader, I'm all for it! -

Originally by: Der Pfaffe I would be happy to see some of the reports run through a spell checker before they are published, but I wish people would stop criticising the efforts of non native English speakers. I would like to see how well the majority of native English speakers would do if they were to write something in say German, French or Swedish.
If I tried to write something in another language I would hope that the editor of the publication would do me the courtesy of correcting minor errors in my spelling/grammar. Some non-native English speakers are so good at English that I cannot tell that they are not native speakers. Some are not as good and could do with a little help so that they are not made out to look silly. Precision is important in a language where a single misplaced letter can alter the meaning of an entire paragraph of text. -------

News is biased in RL. It is not possible for anyone to write something that is not coloured by their upbringing, faith and personal opinions. If you think it isn't I feel sorry for you and your naivety. I didn't think that BoB piece any more biased than any recent piece by ABC, BBC or ITN about Iraq. It was perhaps too light-hearted and more Channel 5 than BBC but there's nothing wrong with that.
ISD don't listen to the naysayers! Keep the news flowing especially the news about player events because it helps make this game worth playing. The only criticism I would offer is buy a spell checker and try to get someone to check your grammar and metaphors too as they can be quite poor. Otherwise keep up the great work.
Originally by: Discorporation See, to the uneducated idiots, roleplay is people wearing tights, using words they have no business using, like "Undoubitably", "My word" and "numpty".
OI! Theres nothing wrong with the word 'numpty', I use it in RL quite often since there really isn't a better way to describe some people. (and I've only ever worn tights once)
