This would allow more T2 ships to be flying around, and keep monopolies from price fixing.

wont do much good unless the characture in the destroyed T2 ship has the skills to build a new one. more T2 BPOs might reduce the selling price enough to make the insurance more realistic

It would also screw over every t2 ship bpo holder as people would never need to approach them for a ship again.

Instead of doing something stupid, why don't you simply ask for better insurance contracts? I mean seriously. There should be no limit on insurance if you are willing to pay the rate you should be able to insure it to any level you want, within reason.

I am a T2 BPO owner. I build a HAC for 20mil, I insure HAC for 100mil, I blow up HAC. I just made 80 mil appear from no where. Market gets flooded with new ISK, massive inflation follows.
I, don't, think, you, trust, in my self-righteous suicide. |

I don't think so. The waiting demand for alot of T2 ships is so absurd, a little bloating in the BPC market might do them some good.
And it would still cost money to insure, and aproach someone to build the ship from the BPC.

t2 ships are always avavilable for no wait, they simply cost more. Actually, they cost what tehy are worth since that is what people pay.
I'm not going to go into the whole debate, its clear you dont understand supply and demand principle.
Your idea royally screws over every t2 ship producer, end of story.

On the subject of insurance. A HAC costs only something like 10mil to make, so why should the insurance company pay more?
If they pay more, then t2 BPO owners could simply make and self destruct ships for free isks.

The skills to build T2 are pretty light for most things. In fact those skills are more inline with what it should take to build T1.

hmm, i dont see that anybody cries because BS are now cheaper and insurance pay more then you need to buy a new one (i dont count the insurance fee ).
If you use T2 Stuff insurance covers the ore cost and no more - and anything else will not work.
I think we need more T2 BPO because we have now more Players in Eve. CCP should release aditional BPO's every "1000-2000" new players. Or does CCP taht already?
Cheers, Tresh

If you do it by ships currently on sale, all I have to do is put one on sale for [arbitrary large number]. Even if more refined averages are used, people with access to several ships can still push the average price up to [arbitrary large number]. If it's done by sales this [time period], you just sell the same ship to a friend for [arbitrary large number] a few times and the same thing works.
