Q-Ships were british merchantmen cargo vessels in the first world war which were designed to lure out U-Boats into attacking them. When a U-Boat came to the surface, hidden guns on the Q-Ship would begin to attack the U-Boat. What I propose is a similar idea but for a Mining Barge. Give the barge (remove the ability to actually mine from this barge, but it should look like its mining) heavy armour and a good number of med slots (for scramblers/webbers), so once the pirates attack they are unable to disengage. This is where the bounty hunters / interested miners warp in and dispose of said pirate. Pirates make life exciting for us miners and I propose we return the favour. some pirates don't get enough excitement.

could only avoid these by a ship scanner pirates beware
edit: trouble is with ship info/description which can be easily read by "show info" ------------------------------------------------ When you get to the end of your journey, everything that really matters is the journey itself. |

So the solution is a weapon, or something, that can me mounted in place of the strip miners, but look like a strip miner. Unless it's trying to mine a ship... :-) |

Edited by: Thunderbird Anthares on 06/12/2005 23:35:26 maybe make a 'holographic disguise mod' instead? whatever, but the idea itself is great edit: btw a mining barge sitting in the belt no mining,or in this case not looking like mining, would be a bit suspicious,so maybe,if it would be a "holo module",make it fire strip miner graphical/sound effect on closest rock? ------------------------------------------------ When you get to the end of your journey, everything that really matters is the journey itself. |
