I got an email titled EVE Online Survey with the following text
Quote: Dear customer, In order to gain a better understanding of how EVE players are socializing within the game, and how important the social aspect is for the players, we have compiled this survey with questions about social behaviours within EVE. It would mean alot to us if you could take a few moments of your time to answer these questions. Please click on the link below to open the survey.

Edited by: Winterblink on 08/12/2005 18:38:14 If you think it's a scam, then it probably is. ESPECIALLY if the link goes to a site that isn't this one. I'd forward a copy of the email on to the mods at [email protected]

It doesnt ask you for your account details, so what is the point of the scam?

I got one of these too, but the sender's address is [email protected] you fake that?
Also, as someone else said...they dont ask a single piece of sensitive information.

Yes you can.
I would like to know if its fake or without permission of CCP couse it did look like a legal servey.

I got this census email also, i didnt find anything strange with it, the questions were well contructed and made sense.
Plus, i dont realy understand the point of the survey if it was a scam, no information about you, your character or your account was asked.

Nah, it's not a scam. Why would the scammers want your feedback on a game? No account info, character info or any sensitive info is taken. I filled it in, although CCP could confirm it is legit to quash the doubts.
And yes, it is easy to fake a 'from' address.

I got a hardcore-sex-omg-these-girls-are-hotty spam email from myself, once.
That's when I found out that people could fake the from address.
