Yikes. I don't like it. Plate plus repper: not good. Not using all your gun slots: not good. Utter lack of hardeners: very bad.
Maybe try something like this:
[Apocalypse, basic semi-tanky mishin t1 guns low skills] Large 'Accommodation' Vestment Reconstructer I Prototype Armor EM Hardener I Prototype Armor Thermic Hardener I Prototype Armor EM Hardener I Heat Sink II Heat Sink II Heat Sink II
Cap Recharger II Cap Recharger II Optical Tracking Computer I, Optimal Range Script Large Micro Jump Drive

it's hard to build a good mission apocalypse without T2 pulse lasers. zhilla's fit will probably get you through most missions but it will not really shine until you can use scorch.

I would drop the MJD and put cap booster, replace the cap mods with tracking and\or sebo. The thick plottens... |

I'm aware of the scorch thing, but as you would imagine, sp issue there. As for zhillas fit, iv been running something similar but wanted to experiment a bit, however after running worlds collide last night I'm leaning back twords it .
Ill post it when I get back home
Cheers for the feedback lads, much apreciated. If in doubt...do...excessively. |

For PVE active tanks, my rule is resists before buffer, always.
And overgunning a ship is a common rookie mistake; I was guilty of it myself on many occasions. Tachyons are always going to be a tough fit; they're power-hogs. Stepping down to mega beams (and using eight, not seven, on an eight-turret ship), like Zhilia suggests, should free up some fitting room. You should consider Puls for the better tracking and the lower cap use. This is something I designed as a starter fitting for newer players:

I'm liking the mega modulated ones, I will likly go back to those today at some point, must invest in faction crystals though, iv one set of sansa radio , which are nice but lack a bit of punch. Any suggestions ontop of Djego's imperial navy(I tend to keep about 3 in the hold for various ranges) , Also, cheers for the loadouts, will be trying them out when I can.
About the only thing not open for debate on the fit is the micro jump drive...way to cool to drop, love that thing, saved my arse a couple of times already.
Again great feedback lads, rather enthused by how helpful Ye are. If in doubt...do...excessively. |

Just want to add that if you worried about costs\loosing your ship trying all the suggestions, you can try them on the test server, depending on the last snapshot taken you could be without the latest tranquility skills though. http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Singularity The thick plottens... |

For crystals I used multi, xray, standard and microwave(radio is just terrible against anything with any EM resistance at all) for the T1 weapons. With T2 guns and changing the CCCs for 2 discharge and a locus rig, scorch completely replaces microwave, standard can be handy if you want to save cap(like if you mwding towards a spawn) or just shoot down frigs, where the extra tracking is more useful. Multi vs Conflagration depends on how many cap you can spare at the time and how high the EM resistance on the target is. For example against blood/sansha/drones the difference isn't that big but against angel and gurista BS you look at 20%+ more applied damage, what can speed up kills a lot and ease out the stress on your tank.
