I just searched google with " "Ace Uoweme" wow ", and got 5180 hits.

Shut up about WoW please. No-one in Eve cares about WoW. We play Eve to get away from the WoW crowd. All WoW arguments are invalid.
At least do it with your main so we can put a bounty on you. One in five people are Chinese. There are five people in my family, so one must be Chinese. It's either my mum, my dad, my older brother Colin or my younger brother Ho-Cha-Chu. But I think it's Colin |

Can we bring in a new rule to the forums. Repeated mentioning of the word wow will result in an instant ban. Then we could have got rid of that critter a long time ago. |

I wonder if he jumps on the WoW forums & mentions EVE in every post. I guess I'll have to keep wondering. The guy who was sitting next to me in the first nullsec round table who had obviously not had a shower since before boarding his flight to Iceland, you really stank. You know who you are. |

Just read the forums it's nothing but self entitlement, elementary school yard banter.
When you give a bunch of nerds who were bullied, made fun of, picked on,had lunch money stolen, picked last in GYM class, and had their milk spilled at lunch by the bullies their entire life, and you give them a space ship si-fi mmo where you are free to do what every they please to other players you get EVE online, where the above mentioned can come to bully other people.
But the problem continues you have the average Joe office worker who is nothing but a pee on at work. He hates his job, hates his boss, and gets no recognition at work. That's where the sense of self entitlement of the EVE community comes in. They feel like the world owes them something so in EVE they can TAKE IT, they feel empowered by EVE and that's why it is their mmo of choice. It allows them to be what they can't in real life, a shot to get back at football jock or dickhead boss.

Speak for yourself, rarely bullied, never had my lunch money stolen, was on the school team for rugby and competed at county level, yet still managed to be a geeky so and so.
If you think that the Eve community is so bad why are you here? Eve is built around the concept that the strong and the organised will stomp all over the weak and disorganised, in that it's a mirror of life. In Eve you're only entitled to what you can take, and keep, which really annoys those that feel the world owes them something for doing nothing.
All it does is allow us to indulge in the darker side of human nature without actually causing any harm in the real world, better to play at being a psychotic killer in a virtual world than actually being one in the real world.

That's very well put.
There are some arseholes in Eve as in any game, but generally I've found the majority of players to be a good bunch of people (and that includes the psychotic pirates, mercs etc) and quite well balanced out of game

Some of the so called griefers are among the most helpful and personable people I've met in Eve, the pirates that killed my first hauler in lowsec when I was a newbie went out of their way to explain how and why they did it, then reimbursed me for the loss because I was a newbie. I've killed with, and sometimes been killed by, suicide gankers, pirates, can flippers, goons, testies(lol) and all sorts of other folks, and on the whole they're genuinely nice people who'll give advice if you display a good attitude and ask relevant questions even though if you're technically a carebear and a pubbie. However if you cry and whine about losing pixels, and how you're entitled to be safe because you're in highsec, just mining or minding your own business, you'll be mercilessly mocked for it and rightly so.

Most of EVE is filled with sociopaths, they play to escape the real world and act out in game what they wish they had the balls to do in real life. I still hold to EVE having the worst community is MMO history. And I play EVE with a small group of RL friends we enjoy what we do in game and that's why we play it.
Most of low sec and null players are playing the game so they can try to ruin the game for others who do not take to their play style. Take this post and others like it proves my point to the fullest extent. If you are not playing EVE for the null sec life then you are doing it wrong and you need to be punished.
See the problem is you need the "pubbies" or "carebears" or what ever you wish to call them to even survive in EVE, without them what would you do? You people spend the day of the forums bitching about hi sec and miners, you spend your ingame time trying to find was to ruin the game so said people and you adjust your playtime to gank grief or bully them. So if you didn't have them what would you do? Nothing at all.
Your game life revolves around there being hisec players bottomline. |

Maybe CCP should consider turning DUST bunnies into elves, orcs and pandas. That would really get the EvE community interested and involved. People would line up for orbital bombardments. This thread has so much content it may be 'Thread of the Year' and it is only January.

People think EVE is more difficult than WOW....lol. WOW is popular because blizzard kicks ass and Warcraft was one of the best RTS of all time, and WOW was solidly built. While i never made it past level 7, as I didn't find it much better than DAOC and FFXI, plenty of people did and enjoyed it. Why people from EVE hate players of another MMO is beyond me as they are the same people. If you don't like a game don't play it, but to classify everyone from a community of millions as some way or another is just plain silly. SCHALAC HAS SPOKEN!! http://eveboard.com/pilot/Schalac |
