Typical week with friends :
WoW player :
Monday : "What you doing mate?" "Killing mobs for xp/money"
Tuesday : "What you doing mate?" "Killing mobs for xp/money"
Wednesday : "What you doing mate?" "Killing mobs for xp/money"
Thursday : "What you doing mate?" "Killing mobs for xp/money"
Friday : "What you doing mate?" "I was waiting for 5 hours to get on BG to PvP, now I am pwning all with my Stick of Gods, omg they are all n00bs, I 0wn em so hard!"
Saturday : "What you doing mate?" "Doing instances with people that I don't like, but I need so I can get more Uber Duber equipment"
Sunday : "What you doing mate?" "Killing n00bs at their areas, they are so stupid !!! My lvl60 char just ownz the 20lvl stupid ones !!!"
EvE player :
Monday : "What you doing mate?" "Mining for some money" "ROFL he is mining, watch the n00b that is mining, that must be extremely boring and STUPID! EvE is no fun, I just see you all the time mining for money, that game sucks"
Tuesday : "What you doing mate?" "Doing some trading, helping friends, teaching the new players"
Wednesday : "What you doing mate?" "Supplying the corps Starbases with more fuel so we can still hold the area and produce compoments for building new ships and modules"
Thursday : "What you doing mate?" "Doing some missions and drinking with friends"
Friday : "What you doing mate?" "Doing some roaming around enemy territory for some kills and fights"
Saturday : "What you doing mate?" "Camping some passageways so enemies can't get to our territory" "That must be boring, this game really sucks" "Atleast I speak with the guys and we are having a great time, even if we are sitting at a spot"
Sunday : "What you doing mate?" "Doing some PvP/fleetbattles, because the enemy has a big fleet and players from 1 month to over 2 years have a big impact on the outcome"
The above is from personal experience.
I have beta tested WoW on US servers, bought the game when it went out, played for a month, stopped it and when the Battlegrounds went out I reactivated my account and played for 2 weeks. I will never return there, until Blizzard understands that players must have the innitiative and not NPCs.
