I'd like to invite people to creatively speculate along. What if for some reason CCP would decide to implement a fifth species of humans, with slightly unique technological emphasis, weapons, color scheme, visual design. I understand such a massive change would destabilize many sacred calfs and throw many a panty into a tangle, but I can't help myself and entertain such outlandish speculations.
I'd love to hear ideas of what people would want to see, if this were done, not blank dismissals. What weapons would you favor? What kind of design style would make faction5 ships distinctive from existing vessels. How would they specialize? How would first contact occur? What kind of unique new things would CCP be able to implement in these new Faction5 systems. Could such faction come with a host of new technologies and skills?
I invite you all to speculate along, and share your thoughts on whether this would get new subscribers, or awaken old accounts. Could a surge of completely new weapons and ships and components (and whole new niches of technological development unseen in known space) be used to address long existing conceptual frailties in the game, and if so how?

I'm curious but, if your title states, "YES I UNDERSTAND CCP WILL NEVER DO THIS, BUT..." then what is the purpose of posting the thread? As far as the content of the thread. We already have a fifth race, the Jovians. Also, a possible sixth, Terrans. Will either of these be playable? Doubtful. Will we get access to their ships? Possibly. We don't really need another race and the lore retconning that would be needed to make it functional. |

Live event in the distant future when Eve finally becomes unprofitable and closes down. Humans from Earth arrive in New Eden somehow. They are incredibly advanced because they didn't have a "dark age" after the collapse of the wormhole in the New Eden solar system. **** hits the fan and shenanigans ensue. |

If this isn't a serious feature proposal or idea, as you indicate by stating you know "CCP will never do" it, shouldn't it be in the General Discussion forum?

My post clearly invites speculation.
The explantion on how that fifth species could be inroduced should not have to involve retconning.

I'm just waiting for the Eve gate to open and our ancestors to flood through and try to exterminate us, like they did the Indians of North and South America, Africans, Indigenous Australians, Sapmi people of Scandinavia, etc. This time it would be more fun I think. Seeing as it is a game. |

I'll be honest, that sounds more like an attempt at making a playable Sansha Nation race. But, if you read the books, the Gallente are also very free with the use of cybernetics, replacing entire organs, or in some cases everything but their skin. |

You find me in a conundrum. If I postulate an idea such as this as a serious "features and ideas" discussion I end with the predictable hostility that "I should STFU" and "I must be crazy for having the nerve to dare interfere with ..." and all that. I have noticed that quite a few Eve regulars can be viciously hostile to any speculation that may have the end result of upsetting their precariously fine tuned cabbage patch.
By postulating in advance this is idle speculation, I invite those people who might have a predisposition towards such daydreams along to come up with ideas.
Yes I would personally love to see such a fifth faction emerge in the next few years of CCP game design, as much as I would adore seeing Eve Online still exist in a vastly expanded and significantly larger user base 5, ten or twenty years from now. |

How about a Hull tanking ... real man tanking race with high density plasma weapon system a mixture of lasers and blasters with mostly thermal damage type.
Tech 3's need to be multi role ships not cruiser hulls with battleship tank and insane resists
ABC's are clearly T2 in all but name
AB's need a buff-á like a big mass reduction ... module tiercide FTW role based instead of tiers please. |

Can you play them?
Besides I don't find Jove vessel designs very compelling. Ugly.
