I was out of curiosity looking to gather information on what pilots like to fly for Agent Running lvl 1-3. I have a character that can go either way. I would like to get some ideas as to what your setup might be post RMR. |

for mission running, retribution is the way to go, tanks abit better, and no ammo always helps

The harpy really shines when the NPC dmg types are kin and thermal.

well i will be working for Carthum Conglomerate (amarr based) which I beleive have sanshas. Is the amarr based AF retribution the way to go? I am in particular looking for a set up that best fits the enemy. |

retribution is better with tech2 setup, harpy shine only with gistii small shield booster, look at your wallet and than think which one you prefer

Retribution.
You don't want to be stuck doing those missions in a ship where you need to: a) reload ammo b) refuel ammo
This means the retribution is ideal. Some level threes will require something a bit more heavy, and there I can recommend the Zealot (which'll also work pretty well on a few level 4) if you are really careful about spider drones.

Meh, even spy stash is relatively easy in a retri. You have to warp out once if you screw up your timing, but otherwise its not a problem.
Just remember to fit a small or micro smartie on your 5th high for the odd frig/drone that comes in under 1000m. ------------- Where is the gistii a-type armor equivalent?

Edited by: Don Tiberon on 11/12/2005 23:14:08 I sure do appreciate the responses. Keep them coming. It seems that most of those that have responded prefer the retribution. Now with that said, any one care to recommend a possible post RMR set up? I know for most this is a well kept secret. Most will want to say play and find out for yourself. I will be doing that I assure you. I just was hoping for some possible combinations that I can tinker with. Any feedback would be appreciated so I know what skills I will need to make the load out work on the character I will be using to do agent missions. |

4x Medium Pulse Laser II 1x Afterburner II 1x Small Armour Repairer II, 2x Heat Sink II, 1x Thermic Plating II, 1x Free low slot
It all fits, my current TQ fitting with near perfect fitting skills (level 4 adv. weapon upgrade) has all of the above plus a Power Diagnostics II. I currently have 5.84 powergrid and 24.25 CPU left before the Power Diagnostics. The setup is pretty power intensive, so you might want that Power Diagnostics, however with a named Damage Control you'll need a lot less runs on the Armour Repairer. Optionally you can fit a Capacitor Power Relay and run everything indef. The PDU is really a relic from back when I needed an extra powergrid unit.

4x Medium Pulse II, Small YF-12a Smartie 10MN AB II Small Rep II, N-Type Thermal Hardener, Adaptive Nano Plating, CPR, PDU II
Or drop the PDU II for a cpr and small smartie for micro unless you have AWU 4, cause it just wont fit, and then you can upgrade the nano to an energized (tight on cpu). I like a strong tank and running everything (smartbomb apart) forever. :)
Ive gotten caught with my patns down my ripper and predator drones and the odd angel frig that came under 1000m to run without a smartie on it, but your mileage may vary. ------------- Where is the gistii a-type armor equivalent?

Post RMR a damage mod will do wonders for your tank.
4*med pulse II, 1*small nos 1*1mnAB II MAPC, SAR II, Damage control,Thermal Hardner, HS II
May need high skills or a augmentation but that tank will be very good and decent damage also.

Lazy man's mission boat:
4x Med Pulse II w/multi 1x AB II 1x SARII 2x CPR 1x Active Thermal hardner 1x HS2
Will run 23/7 and tank pretty much anything provided you don't get webbed. Doesn't require ammo changes except for a set of anti-webber IRs, doesn't require refits for different missions, rarely if ever requires warpouts. Perfect if you like to work the forums while you rack up cash - just don't forget to make sure you're always orbitting a target, otherwise you may find yourself several hundred k from the action...

One thing not mentioned here is price Retribution around 13-14 mill Harpy you'd lucky to get one under 19 mill. Making Retribution a great buy if your on a budget.

I use a retribution to do lvl 3s vs angels which are tougher. I also use it to hunt bs in 0.0. Against Sanshas a retribution will pwn.

My Harpy setup: 4 * 125 tech 2, missile launcher Gisti AB, Gisti SB, X5 webber, cap recharger 2 * Mag Stab II
Works pretty well for NPCing, but its an expensive setup.
An alternative setup that I am thinking about is: 4 * neutron Gisti AB, Gisti SB, webber, cap recharger 1 * Tracking II, 1 PDU II
Using iron, you can hit frigs at 8km with this setup, and its damage up close with antimatter will be pretty nice. And you should be able to run the shield booster forever.

Erm... the point is to fill it, perhaps?
I left it free because I couldn't really think of a module that'd be good there considering the CPU left, so I left it to the preferences of the one using the fitting. Do note how I discussed how it could be used.
