"Morkt's Defence Weekly" returns next Friday.
New staff, new independent Corporation and all-new security! (Try hacking/bribing your way into here now scuzbuckets!)
NON NEUTRAL stance.
Pirates, murderers, thieves, corrupt corporations, politicians and general scuz-buckets beware.. we are here to help the law-abiding and honest citizens of EVE by keeping them up to date on politics, pirates, alliances and defence changes/news.
We aren't here to coddle the ego's of big corporations or alliances... especially those obviously working "both sides of the street". We say what WE find - not what you would like to hear.
As such:
Private Bounties Top 10
A new section dedicated to "Private Bounties" - the top-ten of "high security scum" will include bounty amounts and information on how to find them and who is offering rewards.
Open to the honest
We're encouraging all law-abiding citizens to help us help you by keeping us in touch with happenings in your region. We will pay ISK reward for solid newsleeds and information where appropriate (Kinda of handy that Morkt left us 1 billion ISK to carry on the good work)
Alliance and Corporate Press Welcome
We encourage all Allliance and Corporate Press Officers to keep "The Editor" up to date with events in their regions, systems, bedrooms. MDW will be published, as previously, on Fridays - thus any items for MDW inclusion should be submitted by Thursday at very very latest.
Independent Verification
We will continue to verify all information independently.
Remember, unlike Corporate PR talk, you can trust we've had more than one source of information and that we actually try to get the truth, rather than make it up as we go along.

Good day The Editor,
I'ts good to see that MDW is back into business, and I hope that more efforts will be done to give information to the Eve population, it is the best way to protect freedom, and bring knowledge and understanding to the whole universe.
My organisation is made of informations, and altough it is a really old fundation, we are new in this part of the universe, I have been recently contacted by the link and asked to bring things in place here.
We will soon announce something that may interess you, and all news companies in the Eve universe.
I can't say more yet, but stay connected, things will come in time.

To the "editor" of Morkts Defense Review ... On behalf of the Venal Alliance I wish you success in your new position and self-appointed role as guardian of truth and decency across the galaxy.
I hope the relationship of zestful interchange I enjoyed with monsieur Morkt will continue in the revitalised publication also.
As always I shall make time for comment and interview and promise, as ever, my full cooperation with the (if not independent) then consistently entertaining press.

Nice. More things to read/debate over are always good. I don't mind news places with a slant as long as they don't mind admitting they have one.
I would read a news station that claimed it was devoted to convincing us all how evil TTi was, for example. :)
One thing though, in the MDW you have a few things to say about Space Invaders
"Space Invaders is a growing pirate corporation which used to specialize in armed robbery instead of m0o-style assassination. Of late and noteably since the inclusion of TTi into the Venal Alliance, of which SI are part, the corporation has become less of a "romantic" highway robber and more of the anarchic "kill everything on sight" type of pirate that they supposedly disdained on inception."
It has been harder and harder for us to stop people and ask for tolls, thanks to changes in patch after patch. It's not our fault - it is just much harder to stop people from getting through without outright killing them. Frequently there is no time to prevent them from getting through the gate at all, let alone tolling them. CCP seems wholly uninterested in allowing our type of piracy to do well, and so we have been forced, in some measure, to adapt.
"Led by CEO Setec and directors Ryoko and Bellona, they stage coordinated hold-ups mainly in the Pure-Blind to Lonetrek area and utilise Blackbird Cruisers to a large degree to back-up various battleships."
Fine no problems here.
"Their reputation no longer suggests that they keep their word, their offering safe passage should now be taken with a pinch of salt."
Now this, of course, is complete hogwash. Not one person who has paid us has ever had his ship destroyed. You are welcome to try to find someone we destroyed after they paid us. We always keep our word and our reputation bears this out. I suggest you either change the relevent part in MDW or abandon any pretence at telling the truth. ;)

"The Ed" chomps down on a cigar.. chuckles and hawks some flem into the waste bin. (This guy aint pretty).... stubby fingers pound the sweaty gel-pad as he writes a short eve-mail:
"Ulstan, Kiddo... Do i look like I give a ****? If I do - you're holding a picture of the wrong guy.
Capice?"
The Ed looks to the secretary next door, admires the length of exposed thigh and yells out:
"'aint ****tin ya sweetheart these pi-rats are delusional! They rob ya blind and then they want friggin' fan mail!"
The Ed pauses, ponders, and barks one last order
"And reverse-charge that last eve-mail, sweetheart!"
He lumbers to the chair and sit down ponderously, sticks his feet up on the desk and switches on Gal-net: To see a "Live" scene from Pure-Blind.... multiple battleships ablaze... Bladerunners Corporation ships picking through the litter...
"Sweetness" he yells, saliva drooling down the ruined butt of the cigar and onto his already sweat-stained shirt, "Get me the CEO of 'Runners.. they just whopped some serious butt! I wanna know who got the ****ty end of the stick.... and yesterday ssweetheart, yesterday. Capice?"

I didn't exactly expect you to admit outright you lie. I'm surprised! :)
Oh well good to have that out of the way now.
I admit that will make your stories much less entertaining to read, knowing they are entirely fictions of your own imagination with no bearing on the actual world of Eve. :(
I think I liked it better where I would read an 'outrageous' story of yours and it would leave me thinking "Wow...some serious stuff going on here...could it be true? It could!!"
Now I'll just read it and roll my eyes and go "Oh, here go the bitter people at MDW making stuff up again".

You have delivered unto us most joyous news as well. Allow me to introduce myself; I am Princess Akmazara, freelance reporter and angel of mercy to the downtrodden masses of the universe.
The giant megacorps have oppressed the poor and hungry throughout time. Desiring only their selfish lusts they walk upon the backs of the common man rather then help them out of economic bondage.
I commend the Editor and the newly revised MDW. I was contacted previously by Morkdt about writing a column for the MDW and would like to do so now. I have some excellent information from various "sources" on the three most corrupt corporations in the game, Playboy, Techell and TTI.
These members of the Axis of Economic Oppression will stop at nothing to drive down prices on the market and disenfranchise the masses.

MDW isn't here to write recruitment material submitted by your CEO, Morkt may have let that happen but I won't.
You take the time to trawl back through the gal-net forum records and find the accounts of your corporations dishonesty, podkilling and willfull destruction of innocent traders... or shall we just look outside Lonetrek and watch SI gobble up yet more systems as part of their expanding Venal Empire?
I don't need to do that research - we've already done it.. there is no doubt is not on MDWs stance or opinion, its on Space Invaders reputation... and neither myself nor MDW will give a **** about your attempts to quash the truth and hide your lies behind an OUT OF DATE REPUTATION.
I'll say it once more:
Space Invaders are NOT trustworthy.
Their OLD reputation of being "simple but honest" highways robbers went up in smoke the moment they started acting as TTi agent-provocateurs.
You are NOT loveable rogues, you are murderers, scum and extortionists who cast aside any pretence at "simple but honest robbbery" in blatant attacks on innocent traders, merchants, hunters and so forth.
Hey Bud! Did you forget you and your pals went out of their way to KILL the last Editor of MDW?
Once upon a time Space Invaders was a small almost one-man venture about a guy called "Setec" who was "the odd man out" because he asked for money before shooting.
He wasn't friggin Robin Hood and neither are you... 'that' SI is gone - long gone.. you want to know what the galaxy thinks of you now?

There's quite lengthy discussion concerning the Trade Federation going currently in the Market section of the board. Sizeable parts of the recent CSM meetings (1, 2) were also occupied by them.
(which is frankly the only reason why it even occured to me to take the picture of this dark-Dreamworks-alter-ego guy at work; 'tis quite annoying, that hogging of the dev chat, and am kind of hoping TF won't have much time for that with mdw-style reporter investigating their case.... :s)

Whilst it goes without saying that I am appalled at your stance against the lovely TTi, for whom I have always had the greatest errr...respect and um...admiration - I none-the-less enjoyed the poster. I have toyed with the idea for some time, perhaps I should offer my services to the Empire...
