HOW CAN WE HAVE A FIRST PERSON VIEW IF WE ARE IN A POD?!?!?!?!?!

1st - this is a place to discuss ideas that players want it inplemented, soo I will sign 100 times if needed, and again 1000 if needed more to have something that I want inplemented in game (and this include tractor beams LOL)
2nd - All this is not supposed to be funny, otherwise I would have replied to the Jokes Thread.
3rd - Supposig all this could ever be a reality dont you think the quantum computer inside the ship could very easily render a 1st person view? Hummm you didnt bought that? ok soo lets get the story of EVE, they tell that ships that once had crew are now adapted to be used with pods, soo I supose the bridge is abandoned...then put that camera on the captain seats. Didnt bought that either? ok make a hole in the front of the ship and stick that camera there.
3 nice argumentations to have a 1st person view.
Just use your imagination.

i dont fly my ship from a pod i use a conventional bridge and advanced cyber implants to make remote use of the pod systems. this based on my persoanl fiction and background and is fully in keeping with the prime fiction as prior to pod technology all the ships in Eve still flew with crews and the vast majority still do, faction navies for one example.
the argument and desire for a 1st person view is valid and compleling. anyone who is a fan of the homeworld games may recall that a first person view option was made avaliable in cataclysm and it was fantasic to get a pilots eye view of a dog fight.
for those who are true pod pilots then the first person view is just as justifyable in the game fiction as the third person view is provided by camera drones orbiting the ship, the same drones could quickly move in close to provide a first person view, or remain relativly stationary for a moment to provide fly by views.
at the end of the day simple options like extra view options helps the player to immerse himself in the game and enhance his experience so who would not want it added to the game?

OMG stop talking about this silly POD! the POD is just a simple solution of how to explain how you can see the ship from the outside and control an entire ship alone...

Geez, why on earth would I have a BS with thousands of windows if the man onboard is sitting in an egg? Could Y be so kind and xplain that to me! Or maybe it's the crew..that peek some outside..or perhaps we are all in eggs, like a chickenfarm..I dunno?!
I am quite sure CCP will change this POD as standard, and as bandwidth grow wider and we have better computers we will eventually not have those POD's no more, U all have to see that there is a reason that CCP do things the way they do, not always because it's the ultimate vision of theirs, but because it's the best they could do at time being.
1:st p view / cocpit option would indeed kick ass IMO!

Doh! Isn't it obvious? If it looked like your ship was unmanned, all those homeless roaming around in stations would steal your ships, and sell them so they could buy themself a home.
Don't really grasp how you could have missed that. :p

It'd be really really nice if all ships and stations had a real interior, with crews and a first person perspective you could take whenever or during certain battle situations. Possibly adding boarding of ships/POS to capture them.
However this would require changing eve canon. Though a friend of mine says that supposedly some literature supports crewed ships versus the current pods we have already. Either way, I'd LOVE to see it, but to do it right would be a monumental task. That said, if I knew Eve was going to, and I had the spare cash, I'd pay upfront for an entire year's subscription to support it.

Yea yea yea, now we're talking! All honor to the gamesystem of EVE, I like the trading and regional dynamics, but I lack the sense of true exploration. Space contains nothing but rats and rocks. Planets are low textured spheres and my Apoc looks like somebody didn't like the melons!
I wanna be able to walk around the ship, interact with the crew, on my ship, in stations and hopefully on planets aswell. Omg, just the thought of that makes me dizzy!

Hahaha, yea you're right ofcourse! I feel so stupid, and also in employes all those windowcleaners so they don't have to sell themselves to biotech megacorps to feed their kids..

this have been taken up for countless times, but the idea pwns anyway... i agree it would rule with 1st person view and possibly manual control if it dont lag too much, but still keep the camera drone as standard
